OF that list Chris Martin sticks out as a long term player with a very low average, should have remembered him.

And another rabbit for Lyon. Sharma is useless!
I’m salivating at more batsmen the quality of Ishant!
8-254. Good to see the back of King Kohli.

Cummins dropped Pant off his own bowling.

All this talk of hopeless batting tailenders, Yadav has a FC century to his name. His FC average is 15.

Pant's facial expressions as the wide ball went past was funny

Lyon is really troubling the tailenders, plus Cummins has started putting more effort into his bowling with more balls over 140 kph.
Excellent keeping from Paine too.

To be fair to Umesh Yadav he does look a better batsman than Sharma or Shami, perhaps application is lacking most of the time.

Pant out, lead 47, right where I thought it would be.

43 run lead. This is a handy lead, will come to nothing unless Australia can bat well. I think 300 runs would win a lot more than it loses. So Australia needs to make 250-280. Can someone stand up and get the century to make victory all but certain.

9-279.
Lyon sucks Pant in. He has 4-63.
Bumrah was almost out first ball!
Lyon has 12 wickets from 3 innings - not a bad effort!
Now all out for 283 as Lyon snares Bumrah , caught Paine , bowled Lyon.
Lyon 5-83 and 13 for the series. We lead by 40 odd on the first innings.

This will be a real test for our inexperienced top order.

43 run lead is decent.
Hope we get at least 273. If you get 600 runs a test you will win most of them

Can we win regardless of any century makers?

+xGrazor Can we win regardless of any century makers? Finch has too loose a technique to open against the new ball.

Pujara drops Harris, difficult one but should have been taken.
Sharma and Bumrah are bowling great. Unlucky not to have a wicket or two,

+xNo hope of either Aus opener making a century on this showing! Do not underestimate the bowling, they are getting that ball flying around, very difficult batting. Give it 10 overs and it might be a lot different.

You are probably correct about Finch.
He would rarely have been u nder this sort of sustained pressure in LOC.

Seeing Finch struggling like this , I can remember Renshaw looking very solid for Aus in comparison.

Finch gets away with one, just gets it away from Pant for an extremely streaky boundary. Sharma could easily have two or three wickets in this spell.

+xSeeing Finch struggling like this , I can remember Renshaw looking very solid for Aus in comparison. I would like to see Finch drop down the order and Burns come in. Renshaw has been to out of form in FC cricket to come in.

The helmet did what it was supposed to do and Harris is alright, but that was not good to see.
