South Melbourne FC are based at Lakeside Stadium, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia .... Currently run by Australians of all ethnic backgrounds... calling us a "little Greek Club" whether you like it or not is racist.

Your wrong about blaming the Anglos though mate, to be honest pretty much every single Anglo Aussie I have ever met is very accepting of Greeks, Italians, Yugos Asians, Indians etc etc into this country. Do you want to round people with a certain amount of letters in their surname up and send them to the camps? Am I and my children not Australian enough for you? Hello were in 2020 yet people keep batting on about the way way back origins NSL days etcetc, so bloody what of any Club in Oz today started up by X effniks, damn good that they started them in the first place for me and its not the same as it was back in the '70's80's90's ffs.....
My son playing 1sts PL3 the Club origins are Greek as well, GRM was formed in 1977 by Greek-Australians.....
The club crest pays homage to the Greek-Australians who formed the club back in 1977.....
I know all the management - be it greek origin backgrounds they are 1st/2nd gen Aussies and its an open Club, whatever kid shows promise they'll take em on not because of his blood lines but his/her abilities.
A Club today cannot operate being insular anymore period, they have had to be open and broad based otherwise it wouldn't bloody well survive today.

Unfortunately it continues to be an issue for some people.
The reality is that if the board consisted of Smith, Jones, Roberts and Davis, no one would bat an eyelid or claim that it was a monoethnic club that anyone would feel unwelcome at.  The irony is that if I was on the board, it would be LESS Australian, but MORE acceptable to certain people.

Logic is not one of the defining qualities of your average garden variety racist mate :)

But to suggest Hellas has no ethic bias, or instead s mainstream and broadbased is sheer fallacy. Why does it matter? We’ll yes it does when it comes to the ALeague participants exporting our game to the nation, clubs who can equally embrace all communities by not favouring one, broaden their appeal and expand for the good of game. Hellas, as well as for other reasons, is far from ready to enter the A League. Telling porkies does it no favours.
