+x17000 + likes on Facebook is a good start Very promising, especially considering they aren't even entering the comp for 18 months. Very stark contrast to the 3300 likes on the WMG facebook page who are entering the comp in 8 months.

This bid was the no brainer bid imo
As for Melb, Team 11 may have been the better choice...

+xFirst Community Forum scheduled for 28 Feb 2019. Venue is still to be advised. AFAIK, Western Melbourne have only had 1 community forum and the vote opens this week. i find that a bit disturbing.

+x17 minsFirst community forum has been booked for the 28th Feb 2018 at 7pm at the Campbelltown Arts Centre. Already off to a better start than wmg. Did the really even have 1 community engagement forum since they were given the green light? And where was it advertised? and who saw it and when and where did it happen?

The Southern Border Walls FC is as good a name as I've heard.

"Macarthur South West A League Team 22 minutes
Hi Everyone, due to the high demand, the community forum on the 28 Feb, is being moved to a larger venue. Stay tuned for the new venue details."
Sounds like there is reasonable interest in the new club.

Should have been Canberra over western Melbourne. Already have a w league and youth league side.

Its a mouthful but Campbelltown & Macarthur United would be a much better name that South Western United or some variant that makes a quarter of the league some sort of West/Western

@Redcat
Campbelltown & Macarthur United could work.
Although it rolls off the tung easier if you reverse those I think:
MacArthur & Campbelltown United

Campbelltown and Macarthur United works well, playing in white and black with a Rangers or Rovers nickname.

So why did two members of the FFA Board have their companies paid for consulting services after they were elected to the FFA Board? And did the FFA allow for installments instead of payment upfront because of these two people were on the FFA Board. There is now an illegitimacy associated with the Southwest Sydney Franchise.

+xSo why did two members of the FFA Board have their companies paid for consulting services after they were elected to the FFA Board? And did the FFA allow for installments instead of payment upfront because of these two people were on the FFA Board. There is now an illegitimacy associated with the Southwest Sydney Franchise. "FFA’s decision came following an exhaustive meeting of the board of directors that started at 3pm on Wednesday and went late into the night. Chairman Chris Nikou, who was elected to replace Steven Lowy last month, confirmed that two directors, believed to be Remo Nogarotto and Joseph Carrozzi, did not take part in the decision-making process because of perceived conflicts of interest. “Two directors recused themselves from the decision-making process in caution, and that was a credit to them on the integrity issues. But ultimately the management team at Deloitte have done and extensive amount of work and the recommendation was fully adopted by the board members,” Nikou said."
Quite normal practice.
