+x+x+x+x+x+xI reckon it’s going to be a big year for GKs in the A-League. With the likes of Redmayne, Thomas, Izzo all rumoured to be departing, depending on how many of them actually get overseas deals, it’ll open up a few vacant #1 GK spots. MV I think will promote Acton to #1 as he’s looked the goods. ADL I’d hope they’d do the same with Margush but it’s a little less likely as he’s had less of a chance to prove himself. SYD I reckon will bring Federici home. The overseas GK options are: *Adam Federici *Brad Jones *Jack Duncan *Tom Glover *Jordan Holmes Glover has been released by Spurs too... Didn't overly impress at Mariners, might need a longer run in a first team though He had four games with a horrid defence in front of him. I think its hard to judge And Kennedy made him look poor. It's easy to judge. Yeah Glover didn't look HAL standard when he was at CCM> Having said that, he was the starting keeper for the Olyroos recently while Daniel Margus on the other hand who looked like a quality keeper whenever he has played for AUFC was third choice for the Olyroos behind Glover and Holmes. Glover was not good for us, he has good pedigree but that's about it, same with Holmes. Don't know if those Olyroo selections were actually correct or Milicic being blinded by Glover and Holmes occasionally appearing on the bench in the Premier League. Wasn't Arnie coaching? But yeah it was bizarre to see them preferred to Margus.

it's really dry out there on the jedinak rumours.. some chatter - mostly negative - on the sheffield wed forum. has anyone heard anything? https://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/topic/280545-official-summer-2019-transfer-rumours-thread/page/177/he was amongst the highest paid in the aston villa squad. probably the biggest reason they dropped him. £50,000 a week. that's as much as mooy. so they are the highest paid australians now no one is in china. https://sillyseason.com/salary/aston-villa-players-salaries-99599/hard to imagine where he will play to get close to that wage. i could still see him being valuable to a young team in the EPL that needed some leadership and steel.

nothing new. another mention of rogic going to leicester. another mention of how much celtic are over him. "international issues" ffs. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/leicester-city-linked-celtics-15m-2846768https://www.footballfancast.com/scottish-premier/celtic/transfer-focus-celtic-open-discussions-to-sign-david-turnbullRogic has been a shadow of his former self over the last 12 months and since the turn of the year in particular, managing to score just five goals across the season amidst fitness and international issues.

+xFlip side is he gets a move back to the A-League gets back his form, gets back in Socceroo contention ( which he wont do in Dutch div 2) and then goes off to europe again. strongly disagree with this good form pretty much anywhere in europe at the moment will get you a look in, ekspecially if you are already in the mix also i would say good form pretty much anywhere in europe will be more likely to get you into a top league. the leagues in europe are relatively measurable. the a-league is not a known or trusted environment. the best left back in the dutch 2nd or the best left back in the a-league. i know which one is more likely to get picked up into a big league.

+xRonnie Vargas linked with Belgian side Oostende. Wife is Belgian, move back to Europe has been on the cards for most of the season.
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Reckon Gersbach should knuckle down and become the best left-sided player in the Dutch 2nd Div. He’ll get picked up soon enough if he does and his team won’t mind cashing in. Brett Holman played 70 games in the Dutch 2nd Div at the same age and it didn’t harm him. He ended up getting a move to the Premier League later on.

+xApparently the Polish player Adrian was referring to is Radoslaw Majewski. Will he be in red and black?

Article about what might happen with Gersbach. He's definitely above Dutch second division.

+xI will admit I fell hook, line and sinker for those fake Garby tweets. I was fishing pretty hard for some rumours... But seriously do people have nothing better to do???
Same reason some people troll on here. They have nothing better to do.

+x+xRedmayne to City? Bristol City that is ... Now this is a surprise. I'm not convinced he's good enough to play in the Championship but City's first choice keeper in Frank Fielding has left as has Stefan Marinovic who signed for the Nix. They still have Niki Maenpaa on their books as well as Max O'Leary who seems to be their third choice keeper. I think he'll be competing with Maenpaa for the #1 shirt. Cheers for the great perspective mate! Definitely don't think he is good to play in the Championship but I suppose exposure to a new environment might improve him as a keeper.

As reported in the MVFC thread, a Polish player from the Ekstraklasa is signing for an A-League club.
Source: Adrian Mierzejewski.

+x+x“Former Bolton and Cardiff winger Craig Noone is set to join Melbourne City on a free transfer” Twitter. So Wellington aren't the only club to be signing Noone then At least they have a coach making the decisions, I do find it hard to believe, it's a bit out of Petrillo's usual scouting range. Maybe he had a holiday in Adelaide?

+x+xMore than deserves it, has built probably the best resume of an Australian coach who has never managed in the A-League. Good to see an Aussie coach get a chance. Pity there aren’t many HAL clubs doing the same, especially the ones owned by Australian’s. He deserves a main gig, would be well deserved, I hope it happens for him.
