Glover was not good for us, he has good pedigree but that's about it, same with Holmes. Don't know if those Olyroo selections were actually correct or Milicic being blinded by Glover and Holmes occasionally appearing on the bench in the Premier League.

Yeah Glover didn't look HAL standard when he was at CCM.

Having said that, he was the starting keeper for the Olyroos recently while Daniel Margus on the other hand who looked like a quality keeper whenever he has played for AUFC was third choice for the Olyroos behind Glover and Holmes.

hard to imagine where he will play to get close to that wage.  i could still see him being valuable to a young team in the EPL that needed some leadership and steel.

good form pretty much anywhere in europe at the moment will get you a look in, ekspecially if you are already in the mix

also i would say good form pretty much anywhere in europe will be more likely to get you into a top league. the leagues in europe are relatively measurable.  the a-league is not a known or trusted environment.  the best left back in the dutch 2nd or the best left back in the a-league.  i know which one is more likely to get picked up into a big league.

I reckon it’s going to be a big year for GKs in the A-League.

With the likes of Redmayne, Thomas, Izzo all rumoured to be departing, depending on how many of them actually get overseas deals, it’ll open up a few vacant #1 GK spots.

MV I think will promote Acton to #1 as he’s looked the goods. 

ADL I’d hope they’d do the same with Margush but it’s a little less likely as he’s had less of a chance to prove himself. 

SYD I reckon will bring Federici home.

Wife is Belgian, move back to Europe has been on the cards for most of the season. 

Flip side is he gets a move back to the A-League gets back his form, gets back in Socceroo contention (which he wont do in Dutch div 2) and then goes off to europe again. 

Reckon Gersbach should knuckle down and become the best left-sided player in the Dutch 2nd Div. He’ll get picked up soon enough if he does and his team won’t mind cashing in. Brett Holman played 70 games in the Dutch 2nd Div at the same age and it didn’t harm him. He ended up getting a move to the Premier League later on.

Cheers for the great perspective mate! Definitely don't think he is good to play in the Championship but I suppose exposure to a new environment might improve him as a keeper.

Now this is a surprise.

I'm not convinced he's good enough to play in the Championship but City's first choice keeper in Frank Fielding has left as has Stefan Marinovic who signed for the Nix.

They still have Niki Maenpaa on their books as well as Max O'Leary who seems to be their third choice keeper. I think he'll be competing with Maenpaa for the #1 shirt.
