Cap him Asap! Taggart, Maclaren have some ability but we need to explore ALL options- especially for a striker that can get consistent shots on target.

He should sign for an A-League club. I think calling up players who have never set foot in Australia is a joke. If overseas born players of Australian descent want to play for the Socceroos, then they should do a Ziegler and sign for a HAL club before being called up.



Yes but those players actually spent time in Australia before representing the country. This guy probably hasn’t set foot in Australia and shouldn’t be called up until he spends some time living here.

His mother is Australian. If he can get a passport then he’s Australian. There’s really not much more to it

We need to do whatever it takes (within the rules obviously) to win. That includes time wasting, booing opposition countries etc

Maybe he's as patriotic as it comes. Knows all the words to True Blue, has a mullet, can tell you Warnie's bowling average and knows more about the Aussie landscape than most people here. 
Just because you live overseas doesn't mean you can't identify with another country. There's a hell of a lot of Greeks/Italians/Croats etc in Australia that may have lived all their lives here but they sure as hell have a strong affinity with their 'motherland'. Some may be even more passionate than those who live in those countries. 
So no, you're opinion is grossly mis-informed.
