+xI'm happy to accept that WU got 7k. Realistically, apart from games against Victory, that might well be the ceiling for the rest of the season, which is probably where most of us expected it to land. The decision to allow WU entry, when the proposed stadium is 8 years away, is baffling to me. This is team will be on life support in 4 seasons. If they last that long.

+xWestern United should have played a few games in Melbourne's west at the Ted Whitten oval or Melbourne Knights stadium. I think WU made the right choice by playing all of their games in Ballarat and Geelong. but they shouldn't be handed home games at 6pm on a sunday night either when a large chunk of their fans that wanted to go last week would have come from Melbourne or other parts. reckon if it was played 2 hours earlier it would have passed 10k. hell, i might have even gone myself.

I seriously doubt WU will ever get 10k except final games.

I reckon both MV and WSW games will get over 20K attendances. It'll be the first time for a long time that we have that. Great for the pessimists - haha

Tony Sage opinion on Perth crowds is that if we could kick off in Perth at 7pm on a Saturday we would be getting 13-14k instead of 8-9k at 3pm, said he’s only expecting 9k this weekend. https://soundcloud.com/fnr_footballnationradio/perth-glory-owner-tony-sage-on-soofn-31-october-2019-fnr-football-nation-radio

+xI'd probably agree with him. Likely true too.
The challenge is that broadcasters struggle to agree on that one, so it ends up as it is now. The real value to broadcasters is having a match not starting at 10pm in Syd/Mel but finishing before that time.
Given that the vast majority live on the east coast, that’s unlikely to change anytime soon if broadcasters continue to have their say.

The issue in Perth is ticket prices. $40 per adult is too much. Not sure what other teams charge. I know several people who went in the NSL days who don't go now due to the ticket pricing. With Perth being more succesful lately, you'd assume crowds would have gone up, while they have slightly, its not as much as we'd hope, and that's due to ticket pricing imo.

+xI reckon both MV and WSW games will get over 20K attendances. no chance. WSW could only manage 17,000 for their first home game at their new stadium. excluding derbies, I would be surprised if they match this again (unless they keep winning).

Attendance in Round 1 at Bankwest had a few reasons for being low. It was still NSW school holidays so some members were still away. Pessimistic outlook from the past 3 seasons. Plus there were some showers during the day. Plus games against the Mariners have not been seen as quality fixtures.

Thats why theres not much fluctuation with the Glory crowds, the rusted on supporters will always be there and its difficult to attract new fans with the prices. Brisbane, Jets to name a few will have 6-8k when doing poorly, and then average 14-17k when doing well.

+x+x+x32.50 for adult GA ticket where? ticketmaster Can only see $37.50 plus the fees. I was referring to walk ups, first game few mates that didn't have membership had to pay $40 at the gate. A lot of walks ups, who could potentially return, don't because of that pricing.

+x32.50 for adult GA ticket That's still a rip off. No club should be charging a cent more than $20 for general admission, especially at a time we are trying to get in as many people in as possible.

Sydney v Jets 10.6k
I had hoped that A League attendances would hold this season but already looking like another fall is on the card's.
