+x+x+x+x+x+xIf 50% of the people who used to get Foxtel for HAL now have Kayo or My Football,Is 33k that bad? The crowds for HAL games have not dropped off anywhere as much as the ratings.I tend to believe, that crowds are directly related to true media interest.Given we have had ten seasons of consistent correlation. So the drop off in TV ratings has to have been taken up to a significant extent by streamers. When people, doing the research finally work out how to measure the streaming numbers meaningfully.I have little doubt,we will find the HAL is far from dead. The ratings were dropping at an alarming rate long before kayo existed. For years people complained that they only had fox for the sport and hated paying for channels they didnt want. Kayo is a convenience for the regular sports watcher. No evidence to suggest subscribers are tuning into the A league. I ditched fox for kayo and im barely watching 1 game per week. Yes there is. Prove it You didn’t offer proof yet you ask for it from me??? .... you just made a sweeping statement that is factually incorrect. There IS evidence that people are watching the A League on Kayo and comes in the form of numerous surveys conducted by groups ranging from Roy Morgan research, the A Leagues own research indicating 100–150k are watching each game, Football Nation Radios research, and numerous other surveys all indicating supporters are turning to Kayo. So there is plenty of evidence 100-150k bwahahahaha Oh look, it’s another Mr Football multi - when it comes to a reasoned discussion finds himself impotent lol

We don't have a lot of data to go on, but personally, it's hard to believe that nearly half of the Kayo subscriber base would be tuning into the A-League, at least not to watch whole games.

Saturdays Brisbane v Central Coast A-league match on the ABC had an average 5 city viewership of 42,000 (the lowest this season). The 2019-20 average on the ABC is 52,000. This is well up on the 34,000 average on One in the last 5 rounds of the 2018-19 season. (lack data for YoY) https://twitter.com/TV_Blackbox/status/1201314928423882752Sunday afternoons Perth v Sydney W-league clash on the ABC rated 25,000 in the 5 city areas, with the season to date averaging 31,000. https://twitter.com/TV_Blackbox/status/1201319366224048128

+xSo our FTA have increased from 34k to 52k per week? Well done new FFA. Its only compared to the end of the season - there was no data i had access to for the first part of the season, so not a true Year on Year comparison.

Wonder of the bad blood that made Kelly Bayer-Rosmarin walk out on FFA will affect any possible negotiations with Optus now that she is the new Optus CEO?

The lack of excitement around the A League is deeply concerning. The clubs really have their work cut out for them when they finally take full control of the A League.

In fact, you don't have to go back 5 years, or even one year, at the start of this season, it would be unthinkable that an NBL game was ever going to get anywhere near an A-League game. We have always been comfortably ahead.

You have to wonder how a WP game got 62k. Admittedly they are playing well. But traditionally they are the lepars . At this rate we could break 70k one day.

+x62k on ABC is pretty good, especially for a nix game is that the highest for the season? Anyway you look at it that is amazing exposure. Combined streaming services and Fox put a Nix game into high ratings. Wonder how it would go with better teams\times, would it make a difference?

+xIt is interesting to see the average rating on ABC settle in at a bit under 50% higher than the average on Fox. remember though this is only against the end of the last season. Only 3 matches had data reported in the first 8 rounds last year - 93k for the season opener, 38k in Round 3 and 79k in round 8.
