Group C has Iraq on 10 Bahrain on 8 and Iran on 6. Iran still has 3 home games and Cambodia away but we're in dreamland by comparison.

Group D is Saudi 8 Uzbekistan 6 Yemen 5 Palestine and Singapore 4

Japan cruising in group F but Kyrgyzstan Tajikistan on 6 and Mongolia Myanmar on 3 make it tight.

Group G is wide open with Vietnam on 10 Thailand 7 UAE and Malaysia on 6

Group H sees South Korea on 8 Lebanon and North Korea on 7 and Turkmenistan on 6

Good win. Nothing after the first goal kinda sucks. Taggart got absolutely butt fucked by poor delivery after shithouse delivery.

Surprised Rogic didn't even get on the score sheet. Fucking what did we do for 80 minutes nothing at all by the looks

Solid performance and good to keep a clean sheet at a tough place.

Rogic was probably our best but like the rest they got fatigued in the second half and started to make mistakes.

I agree Boyle was good off the bench just backing himself and running at defenders but in context it was against a tired Jordan defence but it’s good to have options on the bench.

Agree the crossing wasn’t the best but something to improve especially with Smith.

Hopefully we can wrap it soon so we can rest a few players.

Now having watched the game (thanks ABC for on demand replay) I can safely say that was absolutely disgraceful in the second half. Also Jordan completely robbed of a penalty, yes initial contact was shoulder to shoulder but he would not have gone to ground if he wasn't subsequently tripped. Unless there is more improvement in (yet again) ball speed and transitional play AMNT is going to get taught some lessons in the next round of qualifying.

wow imagine if iran miss out

It would be awesome, but they won't. Last night Bahrain had a chance to open up a gap to Iran, but could only draw against Burma. They're obviously too shit. Iran will qualify from 2nd.

Quite a few slightly unusual results last night. Even South Korea drew with Lebanon.

It was Pot 1 v Pot 2 last night so bound to be some upsets again good to see the 2nd and 3rd tier AFC nations steadily improving

Happy with the win as it is a graveyard for us over there but I thought the overall play and performance was quite poor and scrappy especially in the 2nd half . This isn't the first time we've noticeably dropped in the 2nd half in these qualifiers and probably won't be the last.

We SHOULD have this group wrapped up now with only one more away game to play really want to see us experiment more with tactics and lineups now.

The structure of qualifying means that all the group 1 teams all have an easy run home. Iran should still make it and the only biggish team I think will miss will be Uzbekistan. They conceded 2 goals in the last 5 minutes against the Saudis and totally blew it. Oh well as long as only one of the Saudis and Uzbeks go through that is a major boost for us. Looking good for us qualifying though as of the big four teams only Japan and us are cruising.

I mean Iran are really in a hole. They need to watch Iraq and Bahrain next week. If Iraq win they'll have a 7 point advantage. Bahrain winning would see two teams pull away from Iran. I guess Iran would like that game to be a draw.

South Korea should be fine but the others are lingering. I'm so glad we've got the dirty work done early but it's not over yet.

I don’t care where or how, but Jackson Irvine has to be in the Socceroos starting XI

Been saying this for a long time....and he should be made captain;  that honour would elevate his game to an even higher level.
