I found him to be an extremely frustrating player, he's got plenty of speed but his rough edges with his touch and decision making frustrate the hell out of me, so I am not worried about him going. Frankly, I see lots of reasonable wingers coming through so replacing Nikolai isn't going to be as difficult as it may at first seem.

We have Brook, the Toure brothers, Niyongabire (and I'm sure others that I've missed) to cover the forward and wide positions. It's everywhere else on the park I'm worried about.

We don’t have Brook anymore :( I’d argue that Niyongabire and Mo Toure aren’t good enough to be starters yet and are still quiet raw. Given we don’t have a Visa striker yet, Al Hassan will be playing up top.

Oh bugger I must have missed that one :( Agree they're raw but at this point I definitely see next season as a rebuilding one so give them game time and then reap the reward a couple of years from now (at least in theory) :)

We should be trying to sway Armenakas To return to Aus with a starting position waiting for him. 2 years in the ALeague could unlock that potential he has then return to Europe ready to play.

I have serious doubts that he’s even A-League standard. He could only get a contract at a Belgian third tier side who then folded.

With Troisi most probably on the move, the Mids start to look more this way, Mauk becomes AM, Caletti/Konstantopoulos goes to CM, D'Arrigo as DM.

Our squad is basically a glorified NYL side who will probably get pumped on a weekly basis as it is, we can’t afford to let anyone else go, especially as the club seemingly puts zero effort into replacing players who leave.

So of the 4 goalkeepers now on Adelaide’s books, how do we think they’re ranked in terms of pecking order?
i.e. Any insight into the clubs ranking of them? (Rather than individual / fan opinions).

I’d imagine the pecking order would be Delianov, Oschenham, Gauci, Cox. Gauci has missed the first two friendlier through injury but I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up being second choice.

So with Juric coming, I'd imagine our starting XI would look something like this:
Delianov Strain Elsey Jakobsen Kitto D'Arrigo Mauk Troisi Halloran Juric A Toure
The $1,000,000 question is where does Lopez fit in or will he fill a variety of positions and plug some holes?

i assumed how Gomulka got played ahead of D'arrigio last season that Veart doesn't have faith in him and wouldn't be surprised to see Lopez starting at DM. I wouldn't be surprised to see Timethou starting ahead of Elsey to if he's fit.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Timethou starting ahead of Elsey to if he's fit. D'Arrigo was injured and then Gomulka did well in his place and kept his spot. That wouldn't surprise me but he could also play him at RB and move Strain into midfield. The other thing that could happen is that Troisi moves to the wing and Strain and D'Arrigo both keep their places in the XI.

Ethan Cox is contracted too but I'd imagine we won't be seeing him in the first team for at least a year or two.

Juric at 29 is a great signing, especially if he wants to get another European (or Asian) gig.
to me the side with Kitto and Triosi is the weakest, plenty of opportunities down that flank I expect.
