I question why McGree, Wales and Atkinson were not banned from A-league competition.

I agree with Rob Fowler there.

I can see why he doesn’t give youth a chance based on his lineup, hope he sticks to the 17 year old next week.

But again why doesn’t anyone put the national team interests first? 

Because they are an outcome of a strong domestic league - the national team keep damaging the domestic comp (well, technically the FFA do) 

Because people have their jobs on the line.

If that’s the case then what is the point of having a national team or youth teams then? 

It say it’s because the clubs lacking in a vision or plan for the future, all short term thanks to the salary cap.

No, it's more of an issue of both clubs and country having two different incentives which oppose each other. 

Wrong question imo - what’s the point of having a national league is a better one imo:

Having a strong  national team wont produce a strong national league. 

But ....

having a strong national league will produce a strong(er) national team. 

Oh, that makes sense. However, begs the question regarding Wales et al as to why they were able to play.
