game is at marvel. They have pulled the pin on rectangular mode. our season is over. we have nothing to play for. the most interesting thing about this game will be the crowd numbers. I'm sure it won't be sub-10,000, but it won't be far off. MVFC are selling $30 tickets to both Adelaide and Sydney home games at Marvel, so they must be worried.

We may get our lowest ever crowd, and I don't mean just at Marvel, I mean lowest ever at either Marvel or AAMI.

I reckon the crowd might be ok for the AU game. They are in poor form at the moment and we have a good record against them. However, the big blue is going to be one of the lowest crowds in a long time. At least it will be the last big blue for the season, so there is no chance we will be the poor bastards who are subjected to seeing them lift the plate.

GA members get access to level 1 seating for free in some limited bays on a first come first served basis.
I'll have to get there early.

Seats arent in because of marvels commitment to some charity stuff for the bushfires with their advertising. victory must have rectangular mode as a stipulation in the contracts because marvel went to victory. I assume the seats that are for g.a are because they weren't originally going to be used due to the rectangular mode.
Annoyed i won't get to the games either way. Only been to two and appears ill only get to a couple of the 5pm games later this season, too far to travel for 8pm games with 2yo.

Which Adelaide will we get? The good Adelaide and we lose 4-1, the bad Adelaide and we win 2-1.

+xWhich Adelaide will we get? The good Adelaide and we lose 4-1, the bad Adelaide and we win 2-1. this is true. Come AU its a good chance putting in another good nail in MV's suffering season. 2-3 to the good AU turning up.

I reckon it'll be the other way around. despite it being dubbed "the original rivalry" we have never pulled above average crowds when at home against them. people have tended to turn up more to Sydney games. +xWhich Adelaide will we get? The good Adelaide and we lose 4-1, the bad Adelaide and we win 2-1. don't be daft. the good Adelaide always turns up against us. but conceding 5 against WSW last week was definitely something.

True, but in the past we've always been top 6 and competitive. This season SFC are miles ahead of us in every way.

+x+x7-4 and everyone but me entertained aha Hoping for a 1-0 with lots of professional fouls and only one shot on target in injury time just for you :) There IS a middle ground even if we have rarely managed to find it. Being better structured and tight defensively doesn't mean you have to get one shot on target like Brisbane. I found a lot of Kurtz's games boring too. I was angry at the way the club handled his firing by throwing in the towel last season because winning would have made them look bad but I didn't think he was a genius tactically by any stretch. It also doesn't mean that I dislike Verbeek because of that. In fact I had warmed to him and his blunt ways by round 4 or 5 and found him quite funny. I have said before that our front 4 (mileusnic, mcgree, halloran and ospeth/blackwood/toure) would be just as capable of scoring a lot of goals if we sat someone nearer to D'arrigo to give our back 4 (who are the same players as last season essentially) some more protection and used our pace to break quickly. I have been complaining since LITERALLY pre-season that we were playing basically a 4-1-5 with a debut season kid as that '1". It's batshit insane. I am happy for the kids this season, I have enjoyed numerous games but I have enjoyed numerous games every season since season 1. Even under Rini or Vidmar's last season there was probably a game I enjoyed at some point. Doesn't mean I am happy with how the team is playing in general. It's typical stubborn coach bullshit where most people can see obvious options but the coach refuses to compromise at the expense of the team, the fans and the players.

+x+x7-4 and everyone but me entertained aha Hoping for a 1-0 with lots of professional fouls and only one shot on target in injury time just for you :) Oh and if that 1-0 was our way I would sure as shit enjoy that more than losing 5-4 even if 4 goals is more than 1 goal. Maybe sometimes people forget its not who scores the most at the end of the season it's on a per game basis that points are awarded for who scored most. Also, yes, I would rather fight and lose 1-0 than forget to defend and lose 5-3 playing cowboy soccer. I do think for the most part I would prefer to win 1-0 than 5-4 as well but I concede that is a matter of personal taste. A clean sheet is something a lot of teams pride themselves on too and generally you don't win a league without conceding the fewest or close to. That could be the Italian in me showing through though where a 1-0 victory is generally considered to be the perfect execution of a perfect plan aha

I agree with the 4-1-5, and I really feel for D'Arrigo. What's happened to Boland? Bring him back, and let's hope Mauk recovers soon. And Strain. As much as I like Marrone, he is going to be struggling when playing one week, then missing the next couple, which is what is happening now.
