I don’t think that’s correct. Maybe they have that as a consumer protection clause for small matters.

Yeah that doesn't sound right. A cheap barrister here costs $5k a day.  Can't imagine what a QC would charge.

He doesn't need the best people. It's not like he is going to get 2/3rds majority to convict.

What a guy.

After 4 years of defending that fuckwit this is the thanks he gets.

Mitch is a dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack, and if Republican Senators are going to stay with him, they will not win again. He will never do what needs to be done, or what is right for our Country. Where necessary and appropriate, I will back primary rivals who espouse Making America Great Again and our policy of America First. We want brilliant, strong, thoughtful, and compassionate leadership.

What a shame this bit was culled.

A person familiar with the crafting of the statement confirmed that it could have been far worse. An earlier draft mocked McConnell for having multiple chins, the person said. But Trump was convinced by advisers to take it out.

“There was also a lot of repetitive stuff and definitely something about him having too many chins but not enough smarts,” the person said.

GOP should have taken it on the chin (pun intended) and cut off ties with Trump. They would suffer in the mid terms, but could recover quicker. Now there is this constant drag from Trump on the outside.

In what system can you openly have politicians saying they will acquit before they’ve even listened to the evidence?

We’d be in jail if we did that on a jury.

Pretty easy answer for me. CNN and other "MSM" outlets have been calling on Trump to get vaccinated publicly for months.  There is no way in hell Trump would do something that makes it look like he's conceding a point to them, even if it means more people get the jab.

"Covid isn't real"
"Covid is a hoax to try and take me down"
"Covid is an attack on America from DJINA"
"Covid will go away in the summer time"
"Inject bleach to cure covid"
"The Covid numbers are wrong"
"I take no responsibility at all"
"Don't wear a mask"
"I never had Covid"
"I've got and beaten Covid because I'm strong"

...

"Don't forget to thank me for Covid shots"

Also, why is "shot" in quotes? Is he disputing that the vaccine is delivered with a needle injection?

LOL.

The "Desk of Donald Trump" website has been closed down ( https://www.cnbc.com/2021/06/02/trump-blog-page-shuts-down-for-good.html ). I'm guessing he hasn't paid his internet hosting bill.

There still is a Donald Trump website ( https://www.donaldjtrump.com/ ), but from the look of it, it's just trying to keep the grift going by asking for donations.

Surely no-one would be stupid enough to donate money to him?... Surely? :ermm:

So essentially it's a 2.5 minute excerpt where she doesn't really go into specifics about what Trump did that was so "embarrassing" while Don Lemon nods along enthusiastically and the few paragraphs don't really expand any further.

Second of all, it's CNN. Biden could shit his pants on stage and they'd spin it as something wonderful for America's foreign relations.

I trust them about as much as I trust Fox News.

You know you forget just how thick Trump actually was.  Here's a little reminder of Trump bragging about how well he did at a test they give to people they suspect have dementia.

Lol. So smart he didn't think to ask why are they giving me this test.

How can you watch that and not think that bloke was a grade A moron? It's baffling that people still think he was some sort of unrecognised genius.

Washington: In the waning weeks of Donald Trump’s term, the country’s top military leader repeatedly worried about what the president might do to maintain power after losing re-election, comparing his rhetoric to Adolf Hitler’s during the rise of Nazi Germany and asking confidantes whether a coup was forthcoming.

At no point have I ever claimed (or suggested) that Trump is an unrecognised genius. It's possible to dislike the man's character while also recognising the shameless, often hysterical partisanship of the MSM and their coverage of politics and the key players in the political scene. For many of these channels, their treatment of Trump vs. their treatment of Biden could not be more stark. They spent 5 years claiming Trump was a disaster because he was A, B, C, D and E. Now you have a guy in office who is also A, B, C, D, E and quite possibly F as well but these same media channels are now gushing over this as "stable leadership".

3 of the last 4 Presidents could barely string together a coherent sentence to save their lives. The other one gave good speeches and was charismatic, but was clearly just a hollow number in a suit and nothing else.

There are only two intellectually honest debate tactics: (a) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s facts, or (b) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s logic. All other debate tactics are intellectually dishonest - John T. Reed

I'm amazed that people are still giving money after Biden's inauguration. If he runs in 2024, you can donate to that, but to keep funding an overturn that is never going to happen? wow.
