Giancarlo Gallifuoco has joined Kuala Lumpur United. Apparently Chris Herd is at Terengganu now as well, not sure when that happened.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Is Alex Grant really Jacob Tratt?

Ermmm, Alex Grant signed for FC Seoul... Jacob Tratt was one of the first A-League players to sign in India after the hub last season... Think Chianese might've been the first

Given how well he played for Perth, that could be a really good signing. He appeared to slow down in his second season, but that could've been from the workload that Popa appears to put on his players... he certainly wasn't the only player to break down! Not sure how he went in India, but Kerala appeared to stink the joint up, finishing second-last. Funnily enough, it was Odisha who finished last, who recruited the trio of Steven Taylor, Brad Inman and Jacob Tratt... so [to me] it's little surprise they finished where they did. Robbie Fowler's East Bengal didn't appear to do much better either, finishing 7th, above Kerala on goal difference.

Glad to hear this. I knew he played a lot at Perth but never really watched him closely so that's good to hear.

Parma calcio have signed Alessandro Circato (born 2003) from Perth. I don't know anything about him. Perth has him as a forward while Parma calls him a defender. Parma are currently in Serie A but 6 points from safety with only 14 points from 23 games so will most likely be Serie B next season.

https://parmacalcio1913.com/2021/02/25/settore-giovanile-alessandro-circati-e-un-calciatore-del-parma/

Great find, he’s definitely a defender. Watched him for Perth reserves, very assured on the ball and a good awareness.

WU have signed Kaine Sheppard.

I’m a bit surprised the Jets let him go considering he’s clearly better than some of their other striking options.

Pretty sure he'd signed a deal in NPL Victoria or NPL2 Victoria, so that club will be a bit disappointed to lose him too. Hopefully he gets some game time, otherwise it's a bit of a waste of time to sign for WU and never play.

I hypothesis it's to chase money, the bloke was supposedly offered on a scholarship with CCM, probably thought he deserved more. Don't think this is more though, and as some of the boys on the CCM Fans page reckon, at least he was in the shop front at CCM. He's got a lot of work to move up from where he now is.
His management should be shot.

Dylan Ruiz-Diaz, has just made a career ending move to polish 5th tier club Sportis Lochowo.

Jesus. Why on earth would you trade first team football in the A-League for that.

Not sure where to put this but Mo and Al Hassan now have player agents, apparently he's an agent to Patrick Vieira and Man City's Benjamin Mendy.

Also interesting from that piece was Mohamed Toure had interest from Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Leeds United to join their academies.

Tyrese can play as a 10 or an 8, your thinking the other lambert brother who is the full back, Prinsen has played several games and scored in the dutch 2nd div.

Lets wait and see yeah? but I guarantee you... that you sign an over the hill nobody just coming here for a holiday.

Okay so Tyrese might be able to play as a 10.

Of the other two, Lambert has played just 14% of minutes this season while Prinsen is currently playing in the Dutch fourth tier for Harkemase Boys. I also looked through his stats and he hasn’t played a second div game.

As i said before, I highly doubt any of these players would be upgrades on what we have nor would they provide experience which we are so desperately lacking.

We have to sign one since we don’t have a young one at the club. We also need an experienced one too given the squad is too young and when we have missed a couple of experienced players, it’s very clear that there’s no leadership  on the field and the team has really struggled. Just watch our last two away games where we have conceded 8 goals. Signing one experienced player isn’t going away from the clubs philosophy.

Of those players, I’m pretty sure Francois is an 8, Lambert is a full back and those other two haven’t even played a first team game and I can’t imagine them being better than what we already have.

I applaud AU for what they have done the last few years with youth. I just don't understand why you want to sway from that and sign a random CAM from some bang average league when you could develop someone or sign another young aussie and bring them home like western united and marcathur have,

Tyrese Francois? Ryan Lambert? Zak Gilsenan? Thomas Prinsen? All young and would come home and excel on loan.

You really wanna sign a 37 year old who's playing in thailand or malaysia instead?

This is from a report on ages across all leagues worldwide... we have the oldest age avg in the world.

"the A-League was classified as an “Experienced Player” league: players who turned 32 years old during the 2019-20 season playing the greatest number of minutes over the past five seasons – the oldest dominant age cohort of all 35 leagues examined"

That is a major issue in our league. Don't worry about having a young team... its near impossible in the aleague.

A League has had an average of 32 years of age for players. Due to the middle of the road player exodus and young players coming in, the average has now gone down to around 25 years of age. It is Now where it should be and the sport is in it's best season ever.

Is that what we are doing? I must have missed that......it's not usually our style of foreigner either (outside Romario aha).

I agree with you in theory but you also need a balance.

If we play with 7 u/21s starting every week we will continue to lose and those players will not develop in that environment either.

Anyways I'm happy to have Goodwin back and we shall wait and see if we sign another foreign midfielder I guess

Caletti is an ok squaddie at best - no amount of game time will make him more than that.
