To think Victory were denied a marquee deal for Diamanti the diamond afew years back.
Whoever it was at the then FFA, was a COMPLETE BONEHEAD!!! He is the best player to grace these shores.

Yes, it was great to see the game last night. Some special goals. Well played to both teams. Duke has been pretty good for the wanderers. 

Yes it was an absolutely stupid decision by who ever was responsible at FFA to deny Diamanti Marquee status at Victory a few years ago. He is one of the very best players to grace our shores and imagine how much better he would have been when he was younger and fitter a couple of years ago. Dam shame we have been denied the opportunity to see Diamanti do his thing regularly in the A league for those years.

Technically Wanderers ended Wanderers final hopes over the course of several months.

Getting back three goals shows they have the skills and capability to have done much better. Conceding three then losing the game after equalising shows they lacked everything else.

My memory of that is that it wasn't so much denying Marquee status, but it was denying them the special Timmy Cahill type deal.

Another fun game to watch, Diamanti is sensational complete boneheaded decision by the FFA and Fox to not allow him to come in on marquee wages.

Probably a fitting decision for an organisation that never put football first in their priorities.

I think Burgess has learn so much from Alssandro-that little chip up and down the line to Pain was delightful and something Diamanti would do. Lesson right there- every AM should ask "What would Diamanti do?
