I have serious doubts about James Johnson's ability to be an effective CEO.

His performance after nearly 8 months in the position has been TOTALLY underwhelming!!!

Nothing he has done so far, could NOT have been handled just as well by a "low-level Woolworths style floor manager type" for less than 10% of his $500,000 yearly salary!!!

I for one, would like to know the TRUE reasons WHY he was "moved on" from his positions at FIFA, AFC and Man City........................................Incompetence perhaps???

So far, his performances in the job, have been little better than the disastrous "AFL mole" Ben Buckley and light years behind John O'Neill!!!

We don't NEED another "talker" - If he doesn't step it up in the next two months, he has to go and be replaced by a "doer!!!"

AND this time we need to bring in a "no- nonsense" HARD-HEADED foreigner with a "take NO prisoners" attitude!!!!

JJ is definitely a good talker, but he already has some runs on the board:
 - got the final payment out of Fox for this year
 - got the one year $32 mill deal
 - got the womens WC

On the negative, none of the major sponsors has been replaced, which is extraordinary, and quite clearly he is on the same side as the Chair in terms of pushing out P&R well out into the future.

Back on the W-League, with the world up on the horizon, the FFA can't let it wither.

Maybe this is a play to force the Government's hand to help fund it?

It would be very embarassing for the host country to see its womens league collapse at a time when the hosting of the WC was promising the exact opposite.

He's beginning to look more and more like just another "Busted Flush!"

I think the BOTH of them will be "gone" before the end of this year and good riddance

Given the challenges every organisation is having now, no one is having an easy time trying to get things in order.

It’s easy to sit back and be an armchair expert, but even in my day to day work, I see the roadblocks that can be solved by usually straightforward solutions turn into far larger headaches.

Most companies are not in a position for big sponsorship deals just yet. They can have as many conversations as they want, but getting a commitment to follow through right now is far harder to achieve.

He’s doing ok in the circumstances.

Think he’s been great tbh. To fix the mess will take some time.

I think he has been great during a really challenging time for the game. Most importantly he is steering the game in the right direction and away from the summer star wars festival of 10 teams that Gallop gave us.

Never was a fan of Gallop, but most of the credit of getting the women’s WC must go to him.
