The new membership packafe basically elminates 5 game passes so no way will we get anywhere near 25k. It's way too expensive but understandable due to covid. At the moment you are paying 120 just to support the club and have a chance to attend possible games

It's priority ticket sales as well. Tickets will be made available to members prior to the general public. This will be a big deal if capacity is limited to 25%. The Marvel games will be less of an issue, but many people (including members) could miss out on games played at AAMI if capacity restrictions are in place. For this reason, MV are unable to offer a full season ticket for all members.

Mv have 17 something k members already

That’s pretty low for us 3 weeks out from the start of the season. But people don’t yet know if they can get a ticket to games as yet, so it’s no big surprise. Maybe we will see a surge in membership if there is an announcement re increased capacity at AAMI Park before R1.

It's also on the back of one of our worst seasons in history. Always going to be a drop following a finish like that.

Its not ideal to make excuses, but there are definitely factors causing this decline.

Firstly attendance restrictions, 7.5k is current max at AAMI and 12k at Marvel, so already people will miss out each week. Secondly, Victory have had there worst season, probably ever, they were awful last season. Might be an easy excuse for those disconnected a bit to stay away for the season.

Victory have also massively changed up there membership, you pay a smaller up front fee. Around $100-150, then match by match, you pay a reduced amount for each games ticket. Ive seen a small number of people online, annoyed by this and have said they have backed out for this season.

Ultimately, Id like to see this number rise closer to 20k by the start of the season. But praise still needs to be provided as they will most likely still attract the most members yet again.

I wouldnt worry about Victory mate, it seems yours is the only club that regularly gets a decent crowd.

I really like the new membership structure. It was kinda forced upon the club due to COVID, but I also think it’s the best long-term strategy to eventually fill up AAMI Park at every home game. But it’s a pretty big change to what we are used to in Australia and I’m not surprised there has been some pushback.

Seems like the general opinion, but as I said, ive seen a small number of people online saying they would not renew this season, due to the change. Maybe these people will come around and buy into it (literally), but with the general fans slowly disconnecting, the poor season and membership structure change might be the chance for them to jump ship sadly.

Ultimately, we will see at the end of the season, whether Victory maintain this model, or if other clubs adopt it as well. If they and others do, might be a more profitable and more beneficial way forward.

Wellington in Wollongong have already placed in a similar model. A $35-$75 base membership and then discounted tickets, or just a 3 match membership.

Not sure where to put this, and dont think its important enough for a new post topic. But tickets for opening match between West Sydney and Macarthur will be on sale to the general public as of monday. Additionally it lists the Wanderers second and third home games with tickets also available as of Monday.

Members of the WSW and the members of the away clubs can redeem tickets/seats from today and over the weekend

Id assume the majority of tickets for opening rounds will follow as the tickets on sale to the general public.
