The English ones are not saddened of the news that is not surprising I suppose.
Can't deny he was a LEGEND for the Argies (and to many football supporters) and despite his wrong doings I cannot but admire his drive/passion/talent.
Brilliant player must have been so hard to defend against him, RIP next to God Diago.

I can't believe this day has come.... Terrible news.  Rest in Peace champion you will never ever be forgotten.

Agreed, a genius on the pitch, complete, skill/defense/passion desire/banter/talked the talk/he broke opponents hearts on his own - not many have carried a Club 2 their only tiltes and a Countries hopes and desires especially vs the POM's in '86, it was the perfect script making of a LEGEND.

Loving most games had been having a minutes clapping pre koff over the weekend.

Been loving reviewing his highlights on you tube and all.
Living Life pre warm up is a hoot plus the top 50 Napoli skills one, we marvel at Messi/Ronaldo today but DM had all those moves and more - ahead of his time.
I've been having discussion with my 2 sons, I said he was better than Messi/Ronaldo, they tend to not agree completely, I said they both have been in top Clubs surrounded by top players, DM went to Napoli without a known support cast, kicked off the park etcetc.

Get them to watch Hero the 1986 World Cup movie. The close ups show how much the ball bobbles and bounces on the pitch, and that was the World Cup pitches. The pitches he played on would be deemed unsafe nowadays and the control he showed on those was astounding. Compare that to the carpet that the top players play on today and it's chalk and cheese.

And they get to hear Michael Cain's silky narration ........ :) One of my favourite all time soccer movies.

yes I know fellas re the pitchs, I've told em so, heck even us playing at the local "grass cow paddocks" back in the days @ Div1 level todays grounds are farfarfar better lol but thats another poor mans storey not anywhere related to the God were talking about but you know what I mean.
