Yet an FTBL article says Sainsbury and Degenek need to go as it's vital Wright and Rowles come back in. Not so for the former, he's just not playing now. The latter will hopefully kick on but post injury is always an interesting time no matter the talent. I wish them all well.

Too often has Ryan been stuffed around at club level for this one not to work out. All the other frustrating Australian keeper situations abroad are akin to Grabara's situation in a way but I'd like to have this one for Ryan.

Thing is, there must be reasons for this pattern. My hunch is that Ryan's lack of height is costing him. Whatever is he? 183? He's obviously a talented keeper, but they all are at elite level, and most of them are significantly taller than Ryan. Do if you are at coach and you have twi excellent keepers and one of is 183 and the other is 193, who are you you going to pick?

And Grababa is 195. I think that's the reason right there and yes Ryan will be no 2

We'll have to wait for the weekend to know if Ryan has been shafted yet again when he's performed very well.

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that if you have two keepers of like ability and one is 184 and they other is 195, you select the taller keeper.

Some people take Ryan's career so  personally. 

Ryan's has one major flaw In his game. 

He isn't good at deflecting shots to safety. He will often save a shot and instead of deflecting it wide he will palm it back forward and into danger. It was a big problem at Brighton where they were a lower level team who copped a lot of shots.

Got to feel for Ryan. He’s done the right things and either he’s hard done by or he’s just got a few things setting him back. 

We knew that Ryan was signed by FCK as an 'injury replacement' for their first choice keeper, they made that pretty clear when they signed him i thought.

The main criticism I saw of Ryan on Brighton forum was he doesn't command his area well from corners and free kicks. Copenhagen might prefer Grababa because he is young. If they think both he and Ryan are currently of similar standard, they'll likely opt for the one with higher potential. Ryan probably has to show he is clearly superior..

True and Ryan was fairly cold coming in but then the way he played blew everyone away but now there's the coach change and it's back to square one.

It depends on what the coach wants. Is Ryan the better distributor? Is height really the question? Grabara made two good saves today but there not ones Ryan wouldn't have been able to make himself.

Fans seem to see Ryan that little bit ahead still. Grabara's interview comments come across as confident yet arrogant. Can Ryan make such comments without the coach thinking it's bad for the camp?
