Stensness and Metcalfe are crap. Just because they are young doesn’t give them a right to be in the Roos. The A league isnt high enough standard to gauge a player, need to go overseas to see if they can make it. Luongo is an ex Championship, Asian Cup winning player. Granted he has never been a superstar but he’s never sucked either, there are games he has dominated for the Socceroos and is currently the dominant player for SW. Metcalfe and Stensnness suck big time. You would have to be braindead to somehow reason they are a better option than Luongo.

It's great to have discussion but it seems lately that the thread has been derailed into socceroos arguments. 

I think that stuff would probably be better suited to try the socceroos thread and leave this more to players current activity overseas.

Its Ok to be hopeful but they usually need a season or two at a decent level in Europe before they become serviceable Socceroos. Vince Grella was absolute tosh but after a couple of seasons in the Serie B he was a gun. Metcalfe might come good but it will be a slow progression playing for Melbourne Schitty.

Huge aussies abroad news that went unnoticed is that Adam taggart returned for cerezo a couple of days ago off the bench. He’s our best striker IMO. hopefully strings a few games together and ready to go for June
