I liked those highlights. He definitely has room to improve but a lot of the VPS attacked seem to go through him and gets free around the box a lot. I haven't seen any of the Finnish league before but the UEFA coefficient isn't great. If anyone knows more I'd love to know how strong the competition is.

Yeah from the highlights it didn't look any better or worse than the a league. The good thing is he's scoring goals and setting them up as well

Valpato scores again, this time against France. Lost 4-1. Think he should at least get invited to play in the friendlies against NZ to see if he can cut it & to see where his head actually is.

The kid has clearly got some talent and deserves a shot in a Friendly- along with G Kuol and Cummings possibly 🤞WTF has Arnold got to lose now really

Giancarlo Gallifuoco, Declan/Ryan Lambert playing in the AFC Cup in the last few days for Kuala Lumpur City. They drew their first game 0-0 against PSM of Indonesia seems a decent result away from home. Jesse Curran also playing for Kaya FC as they lost 1-3 to Visakha of Cambodia. Great to see Australia represented in a small way in the AFC Cup!

70 minutes for Metcalfe. Couldn't be bothered watching the whole thing but there's a good moment at 56'. Shakes an opponent, hits a nice ball to the winger, could've resulted in a goal.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

It's always slightly tricky comparing leagues, but the Finnish league is clearly below the A League. The best teams in Finland could manage in A League but the rest are not near A League level. VPS is one of the smaller clubs, they've been doing surprisingly good this year and Yengi has been pretty well liked. I would say that the Finnish league is in between the A League and the Kiwi league, slightly closer to A League. Significantly worse than the Swedish and Norwegian top tiers.

Deni Juric played second half in a practice match over night. Wish we could get confirmation with whats going on with him. Playing and training with Croatian internationals along with more games in the Europa league.

He should still be on holiday that bit longer anyway but it would appear the club and player are aware that suitors are circling. Augsburg would be great. Please not the Greek League!

Here’s a translated article from Liga Insider two days ago:
SGE sports director Markus Krösche confirmed to the Frankfurter Rundschau that Ajdin Hrustić is currently looking for a new club. It's about more playing time that the midfielder wants.
"He wants to play more, especially with the World Cup in mind. He told us that's why he's looking around. That's perfectly fine," says Krösche. According to the picture, the eagle carriers are said to have informed both the Australian and Gonçalo Paciência that they were no longer planned.
Should Hrustić, whose contract in the Main metropolis expires in the summer of 2023, find a new sporting home, the Hessians would then be active again on the transfer market in return, Krösche continued according to FR. However, Eintracht would first have to make a suitable offer for Hrustić.
Regarding the original report of June 26, 2022: Clubs from home and abroad interested in Hrustić For Ajdin Hrustić, it was another season that didn't yield a lot of playing time. It is already known that the Australian national player Eintracht Frankfurt can leave if there is a suitable offer. The first interested parties for a summer transfer are already there.
FC Augsburg is said to have put out feelers to Hrustić from the Bundesliga. At least that's what Sky reports, so talks are said to have already taken place. During the winter break, the Fuggerstadt team were already interested in loaning the player, but the move fell through.
But his skills should not have fallen on deaf ears abroad either: the Turkish record champions Galatasaray Istanbul and the Greek top club AEK Athens are also said to be in the draw.

Which is the better move Augsburg or Galatasaray? Interesting. I would say Augsburg, providing they stay up, which is no good thing. Gala has fallen a long way but I'd still rate them more likely to be safe from relegation. AEK would appear the safest of all 3 and could challenge for European spot. In summary, the stronger the league the lower down the table the likely finish for those respective clubs - on paper, anyway. And then there's the question of how much playing time he would get.
