Miller starting for Hibs.
Dean Bozounis played a full game for Reading a few days back against Wimbledon in a 2-0 win.
Saved a penalty too.

Yengi is very exciting. Gotta keep at it and grow and advance in league quality when ready.

Cancar is an interesting one who'll hopefully have two very solid seasons and should gain some interest with that stature of his.

Hopefully Yengi can keep scoring goals and he gets a chance at Ipswich when he returns there at the end of December.

Francois on bench for first team which is quite some progress given the circumstances. I think the Asian Cup helped him gain a little more status.

His Instagram has posts from the start of July that seem to show him on holiday with his missus. I wonder if he went on extended leave after the world cup qualifiers.

Also circati played the second half for Parma in their friendly whilst Volpato didn't feature for Roma against Nice.

So stamatelopolous scored a goal for PAS Giannina in their first friendly on the 20th but there is very little info online so I'm not sure if he started in the first game or even featured in the second.

Cheers. On another note went to the Aston Villa v Man Utd game in Perth @ Optus Stadium. Awesome decline on those stands, really puts you next to the action and I was on the top story. Great atmosphere, would be incredibly good watching a Socceroos game. Imagine the crowd would be 100x louder lol

Mooy not going to do much - game over. His touch is still great, the way Ange plays though I'm not too sure he will effect games that greatly.
Other teams parking the bus, compact etc. His game is quite quality, Pirlo, Zidane like. It's a pitty he didn't go play for a top 4 team in the EPL

When he does get up to speed i can see Ange mainly using him to close out games.
Celtic have a habit of tiring around the 60-70 minute mark and lose some control even against the
lesser teams because they go so hard.
I think Mooy will be used to come on and get control back when it starts to get sloppy.
His calmness on the ball and considered passing can only help the team.
I do think he'll struggle if relied on the start regularly due to the speed they play at.
Good thing for us is he'll be in good shape come World cup.

Few players I think should look to play elsewhere in the lead up to the World Cup.

Really wish Ryan and Hrustic in particular secured moves elsewhere. Too good to be sitting on the bench and especially for Ryan who really is getting no game time at all. Boyle too needs to get some quality football prior to November. SPL and Championship would suit him perfectly.

Vukovic. Just winding down his career on the bench at a pretty lowly rated Eredivisie club. Only a couple years ago he was a star in Belgium.

I thought Karacic too if he wanted to really push Atkinson for that starter role however from what I can see it seems he has been pretty prominent for Brescia in pre season. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

And whilst this is an Aussie Abroard thread, if Tilio is gonna not be a starter at Melbourne City that is so disappointing.

Really looking forward to the SPL. So many Aussies. How good.

Ryan, Boyle and Hrustic are probably our 3 most important players now and all are in a bit of limbo. Tilio must secure more minutes.

I think Ange has missed the boat in the transfer market, to a certain degree. Probably the 2.players Celtic wanted most to sign over the summer were a tall, left-foited CB and a genuine DM. Rowles fits the bill at CB. His inexperience might worry some but he showed maturity and calmness beyond his years in WC qualifiers. Baccus, imo, would be an excellent fit at DM. Unlike Mooy, he is a genuine 6 and is more of an Angeball type with good pace and stamina. He's also the right age. Mooy was a low risk signing but it remains to be seen how much of a role he will play. I think Baccus would improve rapidly under Ange. He's played under a succession of poor managers at WSW and really needs a good manager to realise his potential. Admittedly I haven't watched SPL for years but, outside Celtic and Rangers, there used to be a lot of hoofball played. I hope that's not what Baccus has signed up for at St. Mirren.

So every SPL game features an Aussie this weekend.

Can we take a moment to digest how unbelievable this sentence is?

Never in the history of Australian football has this been the case surely, where the top division of a professional European league has 100% of its matches feature Australian players. Absolutely incredible. We are experiencing history in front of our eyes.

Massive achievement, Ange may have had more of an influence on Australian football than Lowy or Warren by the time he finishes up. Getting the recognition in Europe and now clubs actually looking at Australian talent, is the piece we've been missing since the beginning.

Calver scored for Gwangju. Promotion is theirs to lose now.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.
