+xGo Maty. We know him so well that there'll be good and bad bits. Unfortunately it pains me so much more when something goes wrong. The world watches the EPL but in an Arsenal shirt there'll be people saying 'who's that?' today. Hopefully it'll be a good addition to the resume for his search for his next club next year.

Love the Arsenal social media stuff with him as the feature. Warm up video live on Facebook.

I've never seen Optus coverage. So Schwarzer is there at the game and Optus have their own pundits doing pre game then the Optus enters a local commentary feed? Having people there on the ground is more than Fox ever managed.
Schwarzer wishing Maty the best from the sideline. Awesome.
Oh fuck goal Villa.

I mean fucking hell a shot hits the defender totally changing the pace Arsenal's defence all over. Maty was right to get low. Rear view shows it brutally deflecting away but he did lose his feet.

"And Mat Ryan's first touch of the ball as the Arsenal goalkeeper is to pick the ball out of the net." Ouch!

How's that? Switch over to Arsenal for a sec and have my heartbroken. Switch back to Hannover and they've scored two in two against arch rivals Braunschweig. Decent trade off that.

Ryan generally needs to wait ages to redeem himself when something goes wrong. The next time Villa attack it'll be another insane thing he can't do much about and he keeps getting driven into the ground.

Well in Maty. Gets a hand to a soft chip attempt and was solid on a corner minutes back.

Not much he could have done about the goal really. It was hopeless defending and an unfortunate deflection.

Yellow is fine there. Saka runs into Konsa's legs and trips himself.

Poor Maty, but must give you confidence knowing your team is Arsenal. I mean a little better feeling then if it was some shit team that couldn't score a goal to save themselves. Still what the hell happened to Maty @ Brighton? still wondering. Way out of the football loop

Sitting 15th nothing has changed , that club is sealing its on fait screwing over its players and managers that got them there. Mooy left, probably not a bad decision in hindsight if thats how they treat players.

Baffling is neither Mooy or Ryan were the issues there. Potter seems to have steadily regained some composure. I never heard much around what's going on in the background of the club. They'll want to survive this year and then consolidate and then try to go higher. I think they'll survive this year but next year might be the one that they go down.

Mooy left, probably not a bad decision in hindsight if thats how they treat players. I wouldn't be surprised if Mooy was pushed out too. He was starting less and less towards the end of last season. Potter probably encouraged him to look elsewhere. Maybe he just doesn't like Aussies. The unfortunate thing is that Brighton seem to have finally got their shit together and have only conceded one goal in the last 4 games. Everyone will now think that getting rid of Ryan was the right thing.

Ryan doing well to punch away that long range hit that his defence parted for.

Shocking how bad Arsenal are. They’re all over the place defensively and completely ineffective in attack. They’re really not much better than Brighton.

Pound for pound some of the most overrated, overpriced and overpampered footballers out there. Don't worry they'l get their multi million dollar contracts in Italy or wherever at some point.
