Joel King can't even make the bench for OB anymore. No way should be be in front of Gersbach, Elder or Davidson for WC selection.

It's that he's not yet of the level and the return from an international journey only makes it easy to leave him out. I think he'll get better and be a national team player for years to come but not now. 

Can Joel King actually play football? The Norweigan league isnt any great indicator of ability. Its a bit like capping Matthew Millar because he signed with SPL club. Maybe Arnie should select squads based on ability rather than the club they play for.

His performances for Sydney strongly suggest that he can play, but he needs to start regularly for Odense in the Danish league before being considered for a starting spot for Australia.

Remember Gersbach play 8 games in a season and a half for AGF in the Danish league at an older age. I think sometimes it's the style of play as well that can effect a players selection. 

He'll be ok in the long run. But he does need more gametime to develop.
