Mabil is also a concern. No game time the last 2 games.

Yeah I mean he just isn't THAT good a player. 

His set pieces for the national team are obviously invaluable and he does at least try things but he coughs up the ball far too often to be a consistent starter in a top league.

Hopefully they stick with him though and he improves playing 90 every week which can happen even at his age

What a goal by Atkinson. 

Hrustic is definitely a top 4 league player. After riding the line for large parts of his German career he just needs consistent game time to settle in and develop some confidence. He’s more valuable to our team and a better overall player than Rogic or Mooy in my opinion. The club and league he plays in should point to that fact.

He can be frustrating but he did score that crucial goal against UAE and had good shot on target vs Peru that so nearly beat keeper. Then he nailed his penalty kick too. Leckie…um… he turns up on time … and … can run around a lot 👍

I'm of the opposite thought, could be disasterous. New guy might not play with a 10 can see a holmanesque player coming in to replace him. A headless chook who will run all game.

Quite a few on forum agree Leckie is becoming dead weight for Roos. Muz, Bowden, jas88 just to name a few. His assists and goals are low - especially when he hasn’t scored in an Asian cup, wcup, confeds cup etc.

why persist with an aging ALeague player that has been found out at a national level. When there is so many young ALeague players coming through, Koul, Wales, Ikomidis are all untested.

He did scored the reflection goal in UAE game yes. But his performance during his international games...I lost count how many times he took too long on the ball and losing possession then too lazy to chase the ball back. I can make a highlight of him cuz I rewatch every Socceroos game.

I'm far from anti Leckie, but it is hard to see what he contributes at this point in his career.
