Great to see Gillett send Lemina off like that. Lemina got the ball and rounded JWP who did try and grab him but upon surpassing his marker he was able to run another 15 metres before overturning the ball. Absolute gesturing and shouting towards Gillett ensues and it's a second yellow.

Metcalfe looks really comfortable on the right and it's clear McGree is better outer rather than on the 10. This is nice as our ageing wingers won't be around too much longer. It also frees up more opportunity to allow Baccus, Devlin and Genreau to play in the middle.

Carrick has given him a lot of freedom and he basically just goes around finding pockets of space. It's probably why he's found wide so often, but yeah he's still in the 10.

Thats true I've been reading the forums and he lines up central and drifts about.

He certainly roams around. That's the modern game fortunately that players can find the space and make the most of it. My Kicker app and Transfermarkt has him listed as a left attacking midfielder since October but who scored deviate and say he's had some games as a 10 yet still double that number on the left. He's definitely doing better for Boro than for Australia. He seemed to be instructed to stay in the middle for Qatar. Hopefully Arnold can give him a role to maximise his strengths.

+xGenreau on in 63rd min. First game in ages. Still, apart from Souttar playing in the EPL, this is one of the only other big UEFA five leagues any of our Euroroos are playing in. Coming on at the 63 min mark is good for Genreau and the Socceroos.

+xTroyes lose 4-0 away to Reims. Worried for Paddy. Will he be given another week? If I was a Troyes fan I’d be fuming. Time to start the Paddy-watch, but it could be very short indeed.
Could he be back at the other Melbourne club for next season?

For Aus in Qatar McGree was very impressive off the ball - in Ball Possession Opposition. Neither Rogic or Hrustic are as effective at closing down the opposition in possession of the ball. Also, he played an effective role on the biggest stage. McGree played against the best teams in the world in France and Argentina. Denmark on paper, and when playing in Europe, are also high quality.

Could he be back at the other Melbourne club for next season? I came under forum fire for not rating him in the A League. Yes he won thingd. With that squad so would any other coach in the A League.

Wright starting. Bouzanis, Elder bench. Most Championship AA on tomorrow.
Burgess returns to 11. No Luongo, Watts or Iredale.
Big chance for Tete Yengi who is starting for Northampton. Brook bench.

Toure scores twiceRemember Mohamed Toure? The Isuzu UTE A-League’s youngest ever goalscorer who swapped Adelaide United for Ligue 1 outfit Stade de Reims… Adelaide received a transfer fee for Toure, with Yaya Dukuly also part of the Reims deal. Toure, playing for the reserve team in France’s National 2, added to his season tally with a double in Stade Reims II’s 3-2 loss to Haguenau FC. The 18-year-old has now scored four goals in eight appearances this season

I thought he played quite attractive football but yes having that squad helps. Can he even speak French? The french can be pretty stuck up towards the english and he has more of an english accent these days.

Mcgree played 90 mins got subbed off in injury time. He should of got a goal in the first half but hit the side netting but they are 3rd and the fans love him
