Dean Smith has taken over at Leicester. John Terry there too. Interesting training footage and you just wonder where Souttar stands now. Vest colours can give some indication of rank and perhaps they're looking at a back 3 with Souttar, Armartey and Faes all wearing yellow in training whereas the regular reserves had orange.
Still, you never know if they might take a punt on Jonny Evans with all the experience but this a dire situation as it stands.

2:0 Anderlecht. Cut back and 3 AZ players can't scramble and the ball is played like a rocket curving away from Ryan. Way too far to reach. Sucks to see it. AZ with some chances too.

+xHow did Ryan go? It looks like he conceded every games? Fans were madder at the defence for the first one. It drops swiftly next to Ryan and it would've needed a good reflex to get there. Second one was a perfectly placed shot.

Genreau starting. No McGree. I assume he's resting after the bug and travel. Just not top fit yet.

big win for boro over Norwich 5-1 after 50 mins. Disappointing Riley could of had a goal or two but not in squad.

Edinburgh Derby tonight
So for obvious reasons us Aussies have a few reasons to care about hearts vs hibs tonight.
Just sharing that as it's not on beIN/kayo you can pay to watch on hearts tv. It's about 13 pounds which I believe is about $24.
It's cheaper than hibs tv and you get a hearts game at 9:30 next weekend plus other matches up until may 15th.

Strain starting for at Mirren v rangers. Baccus' injured I think.
Birighitti and behich starting for Dundee.
Luongo and burgess starting for Ipswich who are 2-0 up after 20' against Charlton. Maynard Brewer in goals.
Leicester are playing city in the morning as well. Hopefully Souttar gets a start but big test if he does.

+xAtkinson has been pretty awful. Rowles copping it lately from Hearts fans. To be honest I think the Rowles honeymoon is over. He's just an average centre back.

It's a back 3 now for Leicester which might end up being a permanent fixture but also its against City today so they'll need the cover.

+x+xAtkinson has been pretty awful. Rowles copping it lately from Hearts fans. To be honest I think the Rowles honeymoon is over. He's just an average centre back. Two flaws to his game. The rate of missing the ball when rushing out is increasing. When it works it looks great. He's been high up and wide which has led to teams smashing through the lines. One thing I notice a lot is he ducks down when the opponent is definitely going to win the head. No use of his body to try and limit the jump. He'll just submit. In saying that he's still a fairly cool head and has proven himself at that highest level we've been as a national team so he's going to be fine I think. I guess it's currently a lower base but he was so much better than Deng last window. Deng has his days no doubt.

Hamburg lose to Kaiserslautern. St Pauli with a tricky game against Braunschweig tomorrow. Win that they'll then be 3 points behind Hamburg and they face them in the derby next Friday.

Southampton are surely gone. Leicester are in deep trouble. Win next weekend and it's back on. Can hope that Southampton's relegation could see Watts rejoin and get involved next campaign.

Rotten day for AMB against Luongo and Burgess. A 6:0 win for Ipswich. AMB could've made himself bigger for a couple of the goals but was otherwise helpless. Ipswich very hot to go up automatically.

Atkinson and rowles probably hearts best players today imo.
Looking at fotmob, the ratings agree. Looking at the hearts forum a few fans complaining they (and devlin) aren't physically strong enough and need to get in the gym, others saying atkinson was the best, rowles getting more heat for being physically weak (about 30 comments saying the same thing)
makes me think scotland is a terrible place to send our players if that is how they evaluate players. The refs protect players less than in international football so being weak is a problem in that league

yazbek scored a good goal last night, daggers with 2 assists
karacic with an assist too
interesting all 3 heartroos have declined in their second season. If it was one you would dismiss it, 3 suggests this is a bad place for development
