Brook played for Crewe. It's been a good season to get senior football. Highly doubt he'll make the Brentford side ever so now it's about plotting something to maximize his potential.

+x+x+xthe socceroos best midfield is going to be tricky to discern The good thing with the amount of good options to choose from is the profile of midfielder will become more important going forward. No point having a tone of No.6s or No.10s if they do similar things because we will have a dysfunctional midfield to work with, that's why someone like Genreau getting game time is important because he offers something different in between the lines as a forward passer controlling type. If we break it down we need a No.6 or No.8 that can connect the runners like Irvine and McGree with players like Baccus or Devlin who offer alot of energy in defending, Mooy becomes very important for the Asian Cup but we need more players that could control and progress the ball forward like he can. Someone like O'Neill has potential as well otherwise Genreau is good for that role, even someone like Brimmer could be interesting as well if can play deeper. (He plays as a defensive No.10 for Victory anyway) In terms of Olyroos D'Arrigo, Nieuwenhof, Trewin and even Hollman could be useful options down the line that could be progressive midfielder types. But this is probably the only missing link in terms of a midfielder we need outside of Mooy whom is getting old. It's fantastic to see Genreau getting game time. I have high hopes for Nieuwenhof as a technical centre mid. I think he is more than just a number 6. He's probably had his time in the NT but Luongo's form has also been strong and he'll be at a high level next year. It's good to have options. Forgot about Mass, he hasn't featured in the national team for quite awhile now but worth a mention.

+xHe actually scored 2 pens. Had a look at the Sparta Prague FB page & there are a lot of negative comments about his general play since the start of his loan. Hopefully this gives him some confidence to get back into some form. Here's a recent article about him from a Czech perspective. Use your translator. https://www.ruik.cz/proc-neustale-hraje-mabil-tymu-nic-neprinasi-a-nadejny-danek-na-jeho-ukor-jen-sedi-nechapou-fanousci-sparty/Tldr they hate him here unfortunately

His total minutes equate to 2.7 games. Since he's arrived they've won the majority of games and haven't lost. He's got two goals and assists in that time. Source of the article: Sparta Twitter. Geez. Not criticizing you, mate. They're being pretty picky. The kid compared to has played 12.5 games with starts galore and scored 4 and assisted 3.

If they take the league by storm like kaltak no worries, but if not, fans will be on their back. In fact, the moment kaltak goes through a dip of form what is the bet fans are on him a lot quicker than a player with better pedigree same for aussie players in euro, just gotta roll with it and be greatful the a league is now good enough that it can prep players for international football

I'm just trying to give a bit of context here because this is not fertile grounds for western media. If ever they were to report here, they're be reporting what they "think" is happening from abroad. You don't just roll up here and start talking English :) So, sharing what that experience is for him from someone living here. Another article, this time from Blesk which is the leading trash tabloid in the country: https://isport.blesk.cz/clanek/fotbal-1-liga-rocnik-2022-23/430509/kritika-sili-mabil-sparte-nepomaha-priske-chce-vic-ale-brani-ho.htmlLike I said, unfortunately folks here are giving him a hard time. And to be totally honest here, this is a tough country for foreigners to play their football in.

Not sure if it has any relevance but there is an Australian youth player in William Ferdinand that is playing for Barcelona's under 12 team and scored a goal in one of their recent Barcelona's La Masia highlights.

Great to see Peupion getting recognition for he's very good form at the very least if it's on the bench, surely an appearance is not out of question towards the last games of the season?

Reims on at 3am. Hope Toure is on the bench after being named in extended squad. Not sure if players are ommited after.
Big one for Mary vs Ajax at 5am.
No EFL today but plenty across continent with Wiesbaden continuing on to try and go up. St Pauli with the probable last chance at making the playoff in a tough game against first placed Darmstadt.

he has played nearly 1200 this season, so not bad. If they do go up by some miracle hopefully he gets that many minutes again at least

Was he of the level of kuol, Irankunda and (pre-acl) arzani?
