He's back to the bench now & been a while since his last assist or goal. I know he's only just turned 19, but a lot of us were hoping that he was the next Kewell before the WC & his move OS - it just seems like it's taking longer than expected for him to hit his straps. Has anyone actually watched him play, because I'm basing this just on stats & mins played, so I'm not sure about his general play since he started in Holland. 

Panos Armenakas just won the USL Championship (2nd tier USA) with Phoenix Rising winning a penalty shootout.  Had a very solid season, 39 appearances, 33 starts, and top 5 in the league for chances created.  At 25 years of age, will be interesting to see his next steps.  Pretty sure there is no promotion/relegation yet in this league.

its been tough. His team gets dominated each week so he gets little time on the ball and his defending is probably more important than his attacking at this stage

he has had some really nice moments when his team does get into a good position. His taken ons have had a lower success rate than australia, defenders are a bit better at reading him, so it is a good adjustment. It is a long season and he will have plenty of opportunity to adjust

Fotmob actually rates him as one of the better players for his club when he starts, and I thought he played well but he got seriously scapegoated by fans for their poor start to the season

He averages half as many passes per minute in possession as he did in the a league reflecting just how much harder it is to find space in these superior leagues. He needs to improve off the ball in possession to get his way back into the first team

I'm just glad he's got a career. If he made it to MLS and played every week and very well then he might be a very distant shot for a long list. It's incredibly unlikely but good on him for finally getting a very solid run of football.

Don't think anyone else has mentioned it - Tyrese Francois has been playing for Fulham's u21 team, after being on the bench for the top team earlier in the season. He's still only 23, but he's another one that needs to move on. 

Please no we called up that bloke that was developed in the US and then went to league two I think? he was hopeless.... we got better options.

That was 19yr old Chris Donnell that used to play for Perth Glory. Came on with 26 mins to go in a cup game & scored a Hattrick

Truthfully, the league is not very good. Worse than the Championship without a doubt at all.
It has a handful of good players, but underneath it’s just A-League level with talent more spread out over 18 teams.

So not sure if this has been mentioned but Peupion made the bench the other day for Cheltenham for the first time in 6-7 games. They're still second to bottom of league one but looking better. 

They have 7 loanees this season but can only play 3 per game so it's tough to get a gig. 

Hopefully he either starts to get a run or swap loans in January cause he is definitely better than bottom of league 1. 

That's really interesting no wonder he hasn't been getting game time. Are the other 6 loanees good?

Kuol play the second half today

6.9 rating according to fotmob 

Kuol played 45 minutes for Volendam this morning for the KNVB Cup, he came on at the start of the second half. They lost 1-0 and he only got about 20 touches on the ball. I'm just hoping he can start finding consistent form and find the back of the net. They are desperate for a consistent goal threat and if he stepped up somehow he would get a lot of minutes. It's a shame because it could take a while to find consistency with how raw he is. 

Volpato played a full 90 minutes for Italy U21's for the U21 Euro qualifiers against San Marino. He played an excellent game with a goal, assist and 8.6 rating. 

He's also playing with some extreme young Italian talent in that team such Gnonto, Calafiori etc. This is great news. 

Great news for him not really relevant to AA if his not going to pick us 

I’m 70% sure he’ll pick us. But he seems to have been convinced to see if he can make it at the very elite level first.
Unlikely he makes it that far. So it’s good to keep tabs on him.

So if he makes it to the elite level he won't pick us. The only chance he will pick us if only he doest go anywhere at club level or remain as a bench warmer.

Let's wait and see regarding volpato. He is a zone 14 specialist which we lack at the moment and could really compliment robertson the way those two are developing

Foreign players definitely are expected to be better. Think about the a league - if there is a young aussie player getting time there is pressure to play him. If it is a young foreign player they will get scapegoated unless they are noticeably above average

He is just finally getting minutes off the bench and starts in cup games after being frozen out. So his situation is a little fragile at his club.
