+xKeeper makes a studs up tackle on silvera who goes off injured. Pompey fans not happy Here's hoping... Always a risk but these pre season games with silliness when someone gets hurt annoys me. Its more about the lungs than the legs.

BoroRoos rolls of the tongue easily. Their suggestions to name the bunch are funny. PompeyRoos? Seeing the first fleet left from Portsmouth, the return fleet?

+xYokohama hold on for the 2-1 away win to league leaders Machida Zelvia for Hutch’s first win in his first game as their manager!
Translating the Japanese comments on Twitter, they’re all saying that Hutch has completely changed the fluidity overnight, and that the team played way more high energy and attacking today than it has all season.
Really does make you wonder about Kewell’s ability as a manager unfortunately… All the players are Celtic raved about him as coach and the way he improved their individual games. Maybe not cut out to be a manager

Yep which is totally ok. No shame in Kewell having a career as a top first team coach or assistant manager.

Aiden O'Neill has been named Captain of Standard Liege this season according to @ozhubfootball: https://www.instagram.com/p/C9rStlTyNaf/Makes sense why they knocked back Portsmouth's advances.

Gauci played the first half in a friendly for Aston Villa last night. He was said to be ok but could use some work on distribution.

As long as he gets a decent amount of time (say 700min+ in all comps) he should stay

Toure with final 30 and they've won it at the death 3:2. Mo Toure with the winning assist.

Have to laugh. Pathun beat Dortmund 4:0 in pre season clash in Bangkok. Both teams at the same time in their pre season prep. Sure, Dortmund really couldn't care yet named many big names and it was just nice to see Asian football play so swiftly to raise some eyebrows.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30JMpBig650Randers highlights. What a great little ground Vejle has. Ideal for some A League clubs.

What a handy assist there by Toure. Defenders clashed but his strength was perfect to spin. That acceleration and less fancy pass was exactly what was needed.

+x+x+xRowles got heavily criticised. Funnily enough by many for goals that had happened after he had been taken off. The first two saw enough involvement to be annoyed at him. He's a funny player. He holds his own most of the time and I never fear having him on the pitch. If he can come in against Peru and go to a world cup so inexperienced then he'll be reliable most of the time. Rowles is a much better defender than Burgess. Rowles positioning when playing cb is perfect and his ability to win the ball when needed at crucial times is top shelf. Funnily enough our defence went down hill since arnie has started using burgess alongside souttar I agree although it's probably a moot point with Rowles v Burgess because Circati is better than both. Souttar and Circati is best CB partnership imo. I agree. I was also going to make the point about Circati.

Really happy for Mo Toure to get a scorer point early on. Assists are underrated at times. Which AA is the assist god? Surely McGree has a few. From yesteryear Kewell, Bresciano, Emerton surely had more than goals themselves. Leckie with a few no doubt.
