+x+xfarrell picked up a knock, out for 2 weeks and will miss the first game Ah damn. May not have played anyway and I'll say this; it keeps him from being scapegoated right away if Leeds really turn it on. This. I watched a 5 min highlight video online of the Charlton game and the Pompey defence looked terrible.

Gianni Stensness has been scoring really strongly of late on FotMob. I wonder if he may have nudged ahead of Deng as 5th-choice CB.

+x+x+x+xStrain listed as injured with a hamstring injury until late October. Dundee United v Dundee FC tonight. It’s a shame because that game is at a nice watchable time. With Atkinson not registered by Hearts and still without a new club, that leaves Miller and Jones as the two remaining RBs for the next couple of Socceroos windows. We're very thin at RB. I wonder if they would try Circati there? Deng, Degenek, Peupion, Italiano long shots. Anyone worth a look from the AL? Personally I’d love to see Bovalina brought in for a look. Yeah Bovalina is a good shout. Playing at a decent level too. I think it would be good to see what he can do in the NT. I suspect Arnie knows RB is a weak area with no standours. He's selected 3 RBs in recent squads, which I read as him wanting to get a look at as many as he can justify.

It's clear Jones will be picked but is like Circati and Deng to do a job or use the popular system of a winger on one side and a centre mid doing a lot of the cover work with the winger. Something like Irankunda and Baccus working in the right corner. Simmons is a handy player.

Has only had one unhindered run in the NT and looked very good. Just had a strong year at St Mirren but League 1 may not do him any favours selection-wise.

Ryan started against Barnsley. Matt Ritchie to Portsmouth. Top signing with all that experience for the long campaign ahead. Makes it tough for Farrell on the left but there is a lot of football to come.

Souttar to Sheffield United on loan. It'll be great seeing so many H2H AA this season. Just don't clobber each other too much!

Sheffield United start at Preston Friday so I doubt Souttar will be immediately in.
Big Saturday opening day with 22:30 AEST kick off session. New TV times will take some getting used to with slots across the day to increase games shown from all 3 divisions.
League 1 starts at 2:30am AEST in an odd slot but it's a summer opening day. 3pm kick odds aplenty in the following weeks.

Right a lot of the time but I recall LWB fill ins for Newcastle on occasions. With Sparkes leaving they needed someone who can play there. Waiting for those crosses to Yengi.

2 and a half years on from his ACL, Souttar has played the minutes that equate to just 22 matches at club level. Really time to get back to it. All the past matters have been discussed to death. Glad he's finally moved.

Yazbek started and got an assist in a 1-1 draw/loss on penalties. Apparently he picked up a little injury but nothing major. Lots of good comments again.
Bovalina and Girdwood-reich have both been getting late minutes but hopefully will start getting more as the season progresses. Lachy brook is yet to make an appearance but could be waiting on clearance.

Most of our roos that make it into the big five dont crack in until we are late

Has he made any of the pre-season squads? I feel like if Silvera can go over and make a decent impact then this kid surely can too.

Gauci with another 90 last night The fans seem pretty happy with him and looks like he'd be the no2 this season. A part of me would still like to see him get a season loan to get the match minutes up. Very good environment at Villa to learn though

Glad I checked. About to extend DAZN Germany only to see no EFL being shown this weekend even with numerous streams and not just a single channel. Games available on DAZN in other countries and VPN can sometimes give access. More interesting in Paramount USA have a selection of Championship and a VPN is just too easy on their website to show the content on the IP so that's the way in.
