+xThird tier Honda FC opening the scoring in Ange's last game in Japan in the Emperor's Cup. And to make it more shocking, it was a pen scored by the keeper.

+xDebunks the title of being ‘Scottish NT reject’ by ‘celtsrhere67’ 👊 Exactly. I remember when ppl were saying "well if he isn't good enough for Scotland blah blah" Fact of matter is good players often get overlooked particularly if they are already in a well stocked position.. truth be told Boyle always had potential to step up a level or 2 and Scotland will regret not picking him. Similar to us with lyndon dykes

+xI wonder how Ange to Celtic will impact Rogic Unsure. He is obviously is familiar with him, played him game after game for the national team even when he was half fit and in poor form (relatively speaking) so he obviously rates him highly... But.... Rogic certainly doesn't suit a high pressing system of play. He might be the '12th man', or the first player subbed like he was with Rodgers

+xA start and 76 minutes for Deng in a 1-2 cup win at Vissel Kobe, Iniesta getting a full game. Played again in today's 2nd leg - full 90. Finished 2-2 so into next round.

+xI wonder how Ange to Celtic will impact Rogic Ange has shown with Degenek in Yokohama that he won't recruit or play Australians just for the sake of it.

Cklamosvki's undefeated so far if I'm not mistaken. Won again tonight. 90 for Deng in the cup, 2-2 against Kobe. Urawa through to the next round.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

We have certainly done well out of those selections.

With all respect to Rogic, his best move now might be a marquee slot in an A League side (an excellent replacement for Ninokovic, for example), where the shorter season will help his perennial injury issues.
His time's up in the UK and at his age I can't see much interest in him on the continent with his injury record.
His time is probably up in the Roos too, now that Hrustic is on the scene.

Not quite Aussies abroad but both Lyndon Dykes and Jack Hendry (who played for Melbourne City last season) are starting for Scotland at the Euros tonight

You picked the most optimal time to make that argument; we're in the early stage of qualification at the moment while Scottish people who are in their thirties are watching Scotland in a major tournament for first time in their lives. Neither of these states will last forever. I'm sure Dykes will cheer the Socceroos on in the next couple of World Cups that he'll watch on TV.

+xWatching dykes. He's not that good. I reckon ruka, tags and macca better than him Just as I write this misses gilt edged opportunity He certainly should have done better on that last chance, but he hasn’t appeared to be confident in his overall play.
It may be nerves, but there’s definitely a fair amount of work to go until he can be seen as the one that got away.
