+xThat's more like it. Brisbane Roar away will be one game I'll have to go to, that's if and when the border opens. Glory made an away day of the venue last year and it was superb - definitely worth the trip.

Conveniently yes.
But there was no way there were 4,000 seats empty last night. No way.
The rabid fervour with which some people leapt on the initial story sums up a lot about a gullible generation prepared to believe what they want to believe imo

+xAttendance Wanderers v Bullsh1tters 10128 max allowed 15,000 In the circumstances that is pretty decent, especially with the WSW being so shite for so many years.

I dont blame anybody for not attending live sport in these times. Not even the Boxing day test could hit the 30k limit for any of the days.

10,106 in Adelaide today, pretty good crowd, a win as well to boost the spirits in the city. Red Army pretty full, plenty of noise, also great city turnout in the away end.
4,538, in Campbelltown, probably a bit short of expectations, covid still active and alive in Sydney, wouldnt be helping the attraction of sport in NSW right now, small number of mariners fans in the away area. Hopefully with some results in future this grows a lot more.

So following the conclusion of match week 2, eight games have been played.
Total aggregate crowd is at 56,644, with an average of 7,081
Lowest crowd was the Nix with 3.3k (Probably fair to ignore wellingtons crowds as they are away from home all season)
Actual Proper lowest crowd was Macarthur's inaugural home match with 4.5k
Highest was Wanderers against Macarthur with 10.5k

Newcastle vs wanderers is hopefully full as it can be with a good atmosphere this weekend.
Brisbane will probably have a good showing against victory.
macarthur vs Wellington probably 5k again

+x14k at Sydney derby 7k at city vs western United (I swear it felt like more and 2nd level was open) 14402 at the real Sydney Derby 7068 at mini-Melbourne Derby 2nd tier at Melbourne Rectangular Stadium was probably open due to Covid. How much does the lower level hold? Was there a limit on crowds in Victoria?

As said my multiple people, multiple times, these crowd numbers have to be taken lightly due to covid. In NSW people are more encouraged not to go, so thats not helping Sydney, WSW, Mariners, Jets, Macarthur and Wellington. Add in bans from suburbs on attending stadiums due to covid, no active support, mandatory mask wearing and restricted capacities, its not encourage the more casual a league fans at all. Die hard fans will show up and continue to show up, but these extra people who attend 1-3 games, wont come in these circumstances.
Melbourne still aint perfect either, no active support for City yesterday, restrictions and community fears of covid spreading again.
Whilst we shouldn't ignore the crowd figures, these are not to be concerned about right now. Keeping the league going, is the goal and having small numbers of fans attending is the bonus.

+x+xis there any point to this thread until covid19&20 fucks off into irrelevancy or when fuckstain premiers stop using border closures and random number generators applied to crowd restrictions as a first response Yeah we need numbers to gouge so we have something to complain/feel happy about A little more than 20 years ago 12,600 with 3/4 of the population and a very hostile media... No covid restrictions granted but at least something to use as a gauge as requested :) https://mobile.twitter.com/perthovalman/status/1351574590611283970
