Alas, it would appear that no longer happens, and they're only showing the NRL and AFL.

Sunday was full of supercars, cut-off at 61k, so zero chance of breaking into the top 20.

MyFootball App, Including views of replays and mini match? Why are people still pretending Foxtel figures are relevant? We just got our best TV deal ever and people are still trying to base our survival on Foxtel ratings.

The Super Rugby AU final between the Reds and Brumbies in May attracted more than 400k viewers in Australia at its peak, while early figures for the Super Rugby Trans Tasman final between the Blues and Highlanders indicated an audience in the mid-70,000 range. Super Rugby screwing us hard, it was only a few years ago we were on par with them but not by much. How times have changed.

Wrong they get the same money $200 for 4 years and the clubs gets $9m each, Each A-League club under the new TV deal only get $1.2m. Rugby is ahead in every aspect except kids on the park.

My memory is that they got $100 mill over 3 years. Anyway, whatever the figures are, the truth is, we never really know the true figures in precise detail. It is true that the APL has twice as many mouths to feed as rugby does.

Before i got mixed up with Thugby ratings smashing A-League, I was thinking maybe Paramount+ wont share its viewing numbers only TEN. I know of two company's that wont share info one is SkySports the other being bEIng Sports a few occasions there have been viewing numbers brought up but quite rare.

I doubt we'll ever see the Paramount ratings. Just for starters, streaming numbers are presented differently to traditional TV ratings figures, and the only reason we get to see the Fox ratings is that they are part of the same ratings process as FTA, but no one else is part of it, so those sorts of numbers are rarely made public.

It is true that the APL has twice as many mouths to feed as rugby does. This is correct, and includes an unspecified amount of contra. And that was for the whole sport: Super Rugby, internationals, club games. So it's $33m per year vs ca. $68m per year.

The Gemba report into NRL expansion has a lot of useful info of interest to all sporting bodies. As an example, it concludes that despite the growing interest in womens sport, it is NOT driving up broadcast revenue.

Based on that, A league is seriously underperforming in viewers. The number of fanatical supporters it has is over half what the NRL does, and not that much less than half the AFL. Yet viewer numbers are not close to those figures. Either the term fanatic is very lose, or the other codes are much better at turning casuals into viewers, which may have a bit to do with accessibility. In the case of NRL, it may also have a bit to do with concentration, as NRL gets good figures in NSW and Qld, and terrible figures everywhere else.

Midfielder has made this point before, that both the AFL and NRL are very good at turning those who are involved in junior sport (parents and kids) into fans of their comps.

+xA league gf got 82k was 5th overall on Foxtel for yesterday If 82k gets the 5th overall spot for the day on foxtel, just goes to show how far they have fallen. It’s bad ratings for based on GF’s over the years, but the subscriber base must be well done ok the past. The move to a new broadcaster is an opportunity to try new things and breathe new life into the competition, and hopefully the game as a whole. The FFA Cuo and hopefully the NSD will both also continue to add some new energy to the game, and give a broadcaster a chance to promote and deliver something different.

+x+x+xA-LeagueFox Sports #SYDvADL 22k Semi-final TV ratings: - 22 k - ? k fark me Just round 17 in lowly old NPLVIC tbf to this, youtube viewers are not really a measure of anything, they pop up on the global youtube live page where a single second click is a total view, if you include the a-league's youtube viewers for international views, its private but considering most times, they were anywhere between 5-15k concurrent, it would be much higher than the actual views on foxtel. sadly, for npl clubs and a-league, youtube viewers mean fuck all.

I remembered 10 years ago when Brisbane beat CCM in the 2010-11 A-league grand final, that pulled decent ratings. So did the previous grand final in 2009-10 as it was Sydney FC vs Melbourne Victory. Foxtel had an interesting formula: Buy all the premium and popular sports and make people pay monthly for it. Back in the 1990s, 2000s and even in the 2010s, it was sustainable. I agree with a lot of people on here that Foxtel Might have run their course. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-05-06/foxtel-struggling-before-covid-19-lack-of-sport-more-pain/12217094
