This will be a fascinating game, especially as there are so many unknowns for both teams. Impossible to predict a winner because literally anything could happen.
For Adelaide, how will they respond after Wednesday? Who has pulled up well and who hasn't? Who will get dropped and who comes in?
For Victory, how will the layoff have effected them? How fit are the visa players (and Kruse) and how are the fitting in to the team?

I expect Gestede and Shotton will be totally gassed, at a minimum.

First away trip in a while! Glad they put the game back due to heat, probably should have put back further, it's a scorcher right now, but of course Fox Sports wouldn't have that.

Kusini started most of the pre season games and scored a lot of goals so hopefully he can impress tonight.

I wonder if can make the step into senior football. Apparently he's younger brother Musa is meant to be even better which is interesting.

Played a bit in the U23s but seems to be a standout for the U18s. Was called up to a Joeys camp in the UK just before the U17 world cup

Even though its a small sample size Melb Victory have been very poor in their first two games, out of all the team so far they have been worst in terms of performances.
Take away McManaman they really dont pose a threat for defences, Adelaide were comfortable and I dont the keeper had to make a decent save all night.
Adelaide weren't any better but showed more organisation compared to their last game, then again its a probably some credit to Perth who are erratic in terms of balance.
Scary to think Mohamed Toure is only 16 and he's probably still growing in size, he could have had a hat trick tonight too...what a talent though.

We were effectively gone after Gestede went off. we had no real avenue to goal. Although Kruse did provide something when he came on. It does feel like its gonna be a long season for us. We can't shrug off this injury curse.

Genuinely no disrespect to Broxham, but that's a statement of fact about his past status.

This isn't a Mike Brearly situation, where a cricket team can afford to carry a substandard captain. Footballers don't play at elite level because of their personality and leadership skills. Maybe you're joking? My point remains - his presence is the measure of how far the quality of Victory's squad has fallen over the last 3 or so years.

Anyone else a bit worried how Dylan Ryan has been going since he's been back? He was probably our best player for the Olyroos at the AFC championship, but hasn't been setting the world on fire for the Victory. I was really looking forward to watching him play every week, but he's been slightly disappointing. Toure owned him yesterday

Toure owned him yesterday Looked like he was rattled by his early yellow card, was a weak link for sure. MV in general just look off, in the old days they could dish up 10 minutes of decent stuff and that would be enough to win as Berisha, Barbarouses, go back before that to Archie they could bury teams with a short spell of pressure. They just don’t have that quality anymore to be feared by the opposition, even up until last season as ordinary as the team was you had a world class striker in Toivonen who only needed half a sniff. They just don’t have it anymore.

So since sacking Kurtz, Victory have apparently only picked up 8 out of a possible 45 points.
Its almost as if sacking a proven A-League coach after a handful of games is an incredibly dumb idea.

Unrelated but Mohamed Toure’s expected goals last night was 0.78. The entire Victory team’s XG’s was 0.39.

Brox should start at either RB or LB ahead of Roux or Traore so that the captain can start, is simply not good enough to play midfield in a good side.
