Surely he has to go, as there has been no improvement even after all these statements of confidence that he has made that things will turn around.

It reminds me of the JA situation at MH years ago where he continued to struggle, made similar statements and kept failing to win, but eventually he was replaced.

Fans would expect some sort of corrective action to be taken, and even though it’s definitely not his fault alone, the fastest way to try and rebuild confidence is to have someone new come in to try and turn things around.

What was instructive with the coaches list for the A League is how 3 of the poorest coaches to grace the League have been Victory coaches. Shows that successive Boards have more than made up for the lack of professionalism on the pitch with poor judgement in the Boardroom as well. What comes with no promotion/relegation.

Shows what a fundamental shift it will be for the APL to instigate full pyramid integration, and why it is taking so long.

This is the link shared on my question regarding the status of Kisnorbo as a coach.

Your comment on the other thread probably has a significant input into the decision making of the board - lol

Controversial take but Popa will likely change the club around get them successful but he won't leave a great foundation when he leaves for someone to pick up the slack.

WSW and now recently Perth Glory haven't been the same since Popa left with different coaches and almost different results.

What the Victory really need is a club strategy around so when Popa or whoever comes in they keep some sort of foundation once that head coach goes and the next one takes over ready to continue the good work the previous coach has done.

Good examples are Sydney FC with Arnie and now Corica and now Melb City with Mombearts whom Kisnorbo has continued from.

My question is why did neither PG or WSW give Foxe the gig after Popa? It's a logical progression, but neither club gave him an opportunity. I feel like Foxe has always been the succession plan for Popa, but clubs seem to see it differently for some reason.

Another good example was Muscat following Ange (albeit a bit sooner than planned). It also seemed like Salvaca was planned as the successor to Muscat, but then covid threw a spanner in the works and Salvaca went back to Europe.

Nah the club fucked carlos around.  They kept on saying the job is yours but kept moving the goalposts.  Then covid hit so he decided to go back to Europe

That really annoyed me because I thought that he could of made a good coach especially if the club had backed him and let him build his team. We are so desperate as fans that I think Popa will be mostly welcomed even though he will not play the Victory way. We just need somebody to restore the culture of the team because right now it looks nonexistent.

The thing I dont get is, why Kamsoba played as the 9, and Folami plays out on the left?

Isnt Ben Folami a number 9?

Then there is Kirdar, a great australian prospect as a number 10, he gets put out wide as well.

Surely a midfield 3 of Brimmer, Kirdar and Barnett (for now, till they can get another number 6) is what will work.

Kruse isnt a 10, play him and Mcmanaman outwide and Folami centrally.

agree 100%. If we appoint Popa, it'll only be for 2-3 years at most because he will probably return to Europe at some point (or the Socceroos). Part of any negotiation will have to include Popa grooming his successor. Ironically, prior to this season, the perfect person would have been Brebs. Perhaps Carl Valeri is that man now.

I’m interested in how MV have had the 3 worst coaches and how you judged that?
