Chianese signs for PG. Does that mean all the Aussies who went to India are back playing aleague?  It seems the  $2.1 million cap wasn't so onerous. I wonder who knows better, the posters who bad mouthed them or the club's for re-signing them?

If we don’t win this, season over, even though we have one million home games in a row coming up. If there was promotion and relegation, we would be to far from bottom to be relegated so essentially we’d be playing for no reason the rest of the season. With finals, we have something to play for. On the flip side, we’re not good enough to win anything so will get knocked out immediately anyway if we do make it. Seems like season over and we only just past halfway.

Come on Jets turn it around for this one but PG likely to score more goals where NJ is lacking.
3-1 PG.

PG seem to have fallen into a hole of late, so I am hopeful of a Jets resurgence. Interesting that the late start of PG has turned from being their strength to a weakness as their aging stars don't seem to back up well with their full schedule. 2 - 1 to the mighty Jets.

Pretty good game, either team could've won it in the end. I think Thurgate is a very versatile and underated player. Prso & Najjarine are very good as well. Good to see Ikon back - he looked pretty sharp considering he hasn't played for a year and a half

Pretty poor game from two teams low on confidence. We just can’t score.

I have to say Deans’ team selections and (lack of) subs do not inspire confidence. Dropping our most impactful player, Yuel, so he can make less of an impact? Righto.

Hoffman and Millar down one side is like some sick nightmare I hope to never endure again. They managed about one good cross between them all night. And no matter how much Harper wants to praise the Perth defence, Hoffman absolutely butchered the potential one on one in the first half.

BUT considering our midfield was three players 21 or under, including two loanees, I guess we did alright to nab a point.

The interplay between Prso and AP for the penalty was probably our best of the night. Actually, I’ll credit AP with lifting the tempo considerably in the 5 or so minutes leading to the penalty. If we’d subbed Abbas on for Najjarine 10 mins earlier we may even have grabbed a win.

Deans cannot drop certain players. He has not got that streak with handling it. Millar, Koutroumbis, 'Stevi Ugi', Boogard, Koutroumbis out! Prso cannot hit a barn door, thinks its Afl. Wholehearted, good off the bench for now. O'Donovan scored from a penalty, a stay of execution.
Play the kids, it works for Mariners.
Often, managers are too lenient on players, it can be a fine margin between backing players and just ignorance with bias. Unfortunately it means the gaffa loses his job without building a portfolio to go for other top jobs.
