+xMight add also, I saw more coverage of the incident from football journos/outlets than the mainstream media That's because mainstream media hates new football AND old soccer... Its just that new football hasn't realised that they are the red headed step child yet. APL journos think that a bit of wog bashing will get them positive disassociation of their plastic league from "bad old sokkah" but they don't realise that to Shane and Karen Boganwood their is no difference, its all wogball to them.

I re read the article.
Assuming JJ wrote this... its a Master Class in direction and signalling....
He essentially said something I thing almost everyone agrees with in that as a club say Sydney United are great at developing players across all national backgrounds and as he said its right across the club from juniors to seniors....
BUT BUT the behaviour of some of the fans is unacceptable...
Brilliant...
Tidy up your act in other words get rid of the trouble makers....
IMO this is how these things should have always been done...

Has Ray Hadley come out today and said anything in regards to the stabbing in the local Rugby League match in Campbelltown on the weekend? Or was it not Rugby League related cause it was in the 'car park' ?!

Now is a great opportunity too given how close the incidents were to each other

Good defence of the ethnic diversity of the game JJ. Now that everyone has forgotten about the Illinden violence between Komiti vs SUS , and that surely it was not racially driven, what is the latest on: 1. Broadcast deal ? 2. Transfer fees system ? 3 Reserve league or second division ?

Pressure from who exactly? This news"paper"? Exactly.. Pressure from NOBODY... The state federations have a zero tolerance stance on this and deduct points willy nilly for something as silly as a flare yet somehow the FA doesn't do jack shit when the franchise customers rip flares inside and outside their stadiums ... in fact it is celebrated by the "football media" as some sort of proof of concept... active support is what differentiates it from the other reality shows on Fox I suppose....

Is it an issue for the FA or is it a matter for the APL now? Poor crowd behavior and anything else to do with the A League seems an issue for the APL. Its their league to control now. NPL is the state federations and FFA, hence comments from JJ. Speaking of the APL, big task ahead of them to resurrect the game to where it was under the previous administration. Having said that what the previous administration built up, they tore down. In my view we never recovered from the CBA debacle, then the RBB control combined with the Parra stadium redevelopment and SFS redevelopment completely stuffed us. When the Parra stadium redevelopment kicked off the size of the stadium was increased to cope with the WSW crowds. We were the senior tenants in terms of patronage. How things have changed in just a few short years...Will be a long road to recover now

Unfortunately, if one derby crowd a year is all that's going to threaten to break into the BankWest attendance list, they don't actually have any clout. Being a franchise that was flown in from the Gold Coast a few years earlier, playing in a fragile, shrinking start-up would explain why the Politicians went for a multi-use, multi-tenant option instead of risking major egg on their faces. SFC's crowds at anytime, ever, aren't anything to do with why that new Billion dollar stadium is going in at 42k either 2 fucking huge wastes of Taxpayers funds is all I see, and nothing to do with Soccer

Similarly, Melbourne’s AAMi park was increased from the proposed 24,000 capacity to 31,000. To deal with their crowds. Barely sold it out since it was completed.

The 2nd stage had just been finished at the time. Wanderers was playing 13/14 games a season plus ACL games there while Parramatta was only playing 9 games a season at the ground. In 2013/14 Wanderers attracted over 212k to the venue while Parramatta attracted 135k in the 2014 season. During the 2014 ACL run Wanderers attracted a total of just over 100k to their home games.

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xGood defence of the ethnic diversity 9f the game JJ. Now that everyone has forgotten about the Illinden violence between Komiti vs SUS , and that surely it was not racially driven, what is the latest on: 1. Broadcast deal ? 2. Transfer fees system ? 3 Reserve league or second division ? The current regime is less tactful than the previous. Real duds. I know they let those pesky mainstreamers let off flares in Sydney without any sanctions, point deductions, fines or anything .... just like Lowy and his toads did.... Such a great look for the game all these riot police ..... and still no punishment or crackdown on fans.... only the NPL seems to manage to get away with being able to punish clubs (of certain ethnic persuasion)... https://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/football/wanderers-fans-in-spotlight-again-after-flares-lit-at-sydney-derby/news-story/bf99f6a6d2b23bea1c9c6d99ae11bcc1 The headline: Pressure is growing for Western Sydney fans to face a penalty for the multiple flares lit at the derby on Friday night.
When the Parra stadium redevelopment kicked off the size of the stadium was increased to cope with the WSW crowds. We were the senior tenants in terms of patronage. How things have changed in just a few short years...Will be a long road to recover now Really ? As far as I remember it was the Eels that were the main tenant, then they added on deals for Wests , Waratahs and Wanderers Perfect You picked all the games AFTER the stadium was redeveloped and Parra has had a winning team and everyone and his dog has wanted to see the new stadium. On the flip side the A League is now officially in the doldrums and the RBB isnt anything like it used to be. I was talking about when the Decision to redevelop the stadium and the size of it was being made. At that time WSW was the big ticket and the Sydney Derby was the big ticket in town always sold out at the SFS (40,000 seats) and WSW had far bigger crowds than Parra. https://www.ftbl.com.au/news/wswre-gonna-need-a-bigger-stadium-351147Pull the stats and average crowd sizes from 2014 and 2015 for WSW and Parra, when the decision was made and lets chat again :) 2 fucking huge wastes of Taxpayers funds is all I see, and nothing to do with Soccer SFS re-development had nothing to do with SFC. Nobody is arguing that it did.
