Call me crazy but it feels like Tilio isn’t receiving even half the amount of hype Arzani did when he was playing for City.
The kid is an absolute weapon and I feel like he’s not being spoken about enough.

Arzani had a certain style/confidence about him that grabbed attention, along with him playing at a time when there really were limited examples of exciting youth prospects getting game time.
Fast forward to 2021 with a league living on far less money, youth are getting significant game time and there are many players making a name for themselves. It’s harder to stand out, but he has certainly been a very exciting addition. Really impressed by his overall game.

Tilio has been very good for Melb City, agree on the Arzani comparison because they are very similar players and exciting to watch.
Whats also interesting is both have former futsal backgrounds, question is why isnt futsal is not prioritised enough in improving player development in this country? The modern successor to street football.

Yea looks a player. Disappointed we let him go actually but we don’t have the best record of playing youth so he made the right move IMO.

Arzani seems to have vanished without trace.

I would have rather seen Tilio start this year over Baumjohann or Barbarousis, really disappointed we let him go and everyone who followed the academy was excited about seeing him transition to the first team.

Just another example of SFC not giving youth a chance. Exclude this season as more youth have been given a chance and look at the results. Tilio has been fantastic. Well done to PK and the club.

quality player... how many gems have been sitting in youth teams while over the hill journeymen get gametime ahead of them.
Natta is another one that has come from nowhere in the space of a few months.

Less hype means he'll actually achieve something. Too many hyped players in the past who's careers have fizzled out & their potential snuffed out.

Too many hyped players in the past who's careers have fizzled out & their potential snuffed out. totally, people should calm down - yes he has some great qualities but the transition to a full 90 min player in the mens game is a bit away for him. he has only once played close to 90, and could not pull it off the following week. without comparting the players too much, arzani was a similar situation with regard to actual minutes played and having the engine to pace out a full match. i want the kid to do well, but lets give it some time and expect performance variation as he increases minutes.
