Unless Arzani plays really well for Lommel this weekend he should be left out- Mcgree too. Mabil and Boyle the standout starters atm

Some headaches. Taggart isn't confident and Duke is right to rough up the opponent. Juric is in form but lacks experience at the level.
I'd keep the last squad but bring in Juric in place of McGowan. Maybe Karacic in for Strain. Dougall needs to be kept for his versatility and Arzani can still be handy if required. I don't know much sense it makes for Smith to do all that travel when the other two are currently ahead of him.
Ryan, Thomas, Vukovic
Grant, Karacic (Strain), Sainsbury, Degenek, Souttar, Wright, Behich, Elder
Rogic, Mooy, Jeggo, Hrustic, Dougall, Irvine, McGree
Taggart, Juric, Mabil, Arzani, Boyle, Duke

Love to see Juric in the squad at the very least. Taggart has had his opportunity.

Drop him from the squad until he gets regular game time And if Metcalfe was available, i would drop McGree

Mcgree shouldnt be there as he isnt getting minutes at the moment. Needs to earn his spot back at Birmingham. Kamau is starting to get game time in greece so he might be an option.

Arzani was our best player at the Olympics. Amazed that anyone wouldn't want him in this squad. We were crying out for his type of creativity against Vietnam.
As for Genreau - nowhere near McGree just yet.
If we can't beat Oman then we simply don't deserve to be at this prefab, bought and totally corrupt World Cup.

+xApparently Deni Juric announced he wants to play for Croatia?! Shit 😔 I re-read his quote (which was probably translated from Croatian) and he says at the start that it hasn't been decided yet. As he's being interviewed by the Croatian media, he's probably just being diplomatic to a certain degree, as he was also quoted 6 months ago that his heart is with Australia and playing in the green & gold. He's not exactly young anymore at 24 and not really lighting the world on fire this season, only scoring 1 league goal. He looks a really good player, but can you really see him breaking into the Croatian national team? I reckon we might still get him

Just on where and how Juric is playing he has to be picked If he isn't picked he either rejected us or Arnie didn't pick him Either way if he's not in the squad we've lost him I'll be waiting for the selection with bated breath

End of story, nothing to see here!

squad has left backs in it for a reason. no way behich or elder arent playing. Karacic to right back and behich in and karacic to right back youve probably got our best line up

Agree that Karacic is the better option, though.

Even though Karacic has got potential to be our long term RB, he's currently not getting any game time at club level & Grant was probably our best player for the last 2 qualifiers, so I'd go with Grant

With Mooy having hardly played and a few others unavailable for selection I reckon that is very close to our strongest lineup. I would make just the one change from the players that were selected in this squad with either Behich or Elder coming in for Karacic.

Big day ahead. Our game is last. Just need to win. Not too sure what to wish for between Saudi and Japan. Draw? Japan win heavily to give us a point boost over both? If Saudi were to win and then Australia somehow sneak a win over Japan, it opens a whole new equation.
