It's currently difficult to move on Brisbane Road, traffic is heavy.

Macarthur have let go of Golec, Jovanovic, Mutch, Juric and Giannou.
Can’t see Golec or Mutch getting another deal somewhere but the other three definitely will.

Frankfurt mean business and rightly so with the champions league campaign. Alario from Leverkusen in attack and they're now looking at Götze. Any good player puts Hrustic under more pressure to get a spot. His deal ends at the end of 2023 so Frankfurt may like to get a handy fee.

But of net chatter about Sainsbury and the Qatar league. He already went to China so he surely can't be that broke.

I just wonder who needs to secure a move prior to the transfer window shutting to help their cause for spot at Qatar?
Ryan should look to secure first team football, as should Vukovic.
Defensively I wouldn't be surprised if someone like Karacic was to head elsewhere to secure more regular first team football. Sainsbury is obviously going but by all reports it's to the Middle East 🙄
Rogic and Mooy need to secure moves. Rogic as he is obviously clubless, whilst the stability offered at Shanghai for Mooy is not there. He is good enough for European football still clearly. Hrustic too is worth exploring his options. He still looked a bit lacking in match sharpness and I've no doubt he can pick a contract in a very decent league.
A-League players? I'd like to see Tilio maybe head to Europe in particular. Both for more regular starting minutes and for sharpness ahead of Qatar. Goodwin could head as well I reckon.
Anyone else?

Feel like lots of the fringe Socceroos players that want to go to the world cup have to move overseas due to the a-league season starting so much later than the rest of the world. \ Fornaroli Risdon Grant Ikonomidis Good Nabbout Davidson D'Agostino Brimmer Tilio Thurgate Wales Folami Gauci All these players could possibly make the next step but staying in the a-league and only getting a month's preparation over a different player already having 20ish games is a huge difference.

Brandon Borrello is apparently being released by Dynamo Dresden. Back to the A-League perhaps?

The timing of the WC this time around makes for some intriguing narratives here too. The AL started last season the same week that the World Cup is starting this year so it will be interesting to see if we move the season start or all the local players in the squad will just be coming off a long pre-season with no competitive games. Potential for some Archie to PSV style loans

Ryan Strain looks set to join Keanu Baccus at St Mirren.
All our national team right back prospects playing in the same league is pretty cool for comparisons sake. Just need Karacic to join Ange now lol.

That's interesting about Strain. Injuries hampered him but he came across as fairly robust in Israel so SPL is fine for him.

+x+x+xHopefully he gets picked up by a Championship team or a similar level, maybe 2. Bundesliga. Hahahaha So you want a 29 yr old, best player we've had since the golden gen, whose coming off a league title, CL qualification, player of the yr nominee, team of the yr inclusion and goal of the season... you want him to play in a 2nd division?! Lol I say it all the time on here but we must be the only nation that talks our players down! Easily, easily good enough for any league in the world. Only thing he lacked was an engine and workrate and he upped that this season. Would love to see him in serie a where the players are older and pace is slower and technical players like him appreciated more. A club like fiorentina or mid table team where they'd build around him would be great. Otherwise another champions league side in a slightly lesser league like an Olympiakos or Galatasaray. No ones doubting his ability, we just don't live in fantasy world where Juventus come sign a 29 year old, he's too old and the move to another league and the language barrier will be too much for him. A move to england is much easier and teams from the english divisions sign players from scotland regularly. I would personally love to see him in Spain or Italy but it will never happen. Not every team in Italy is juve though are they?! He qualifies for Italy work permit due to his international appearances and language / culture arent an issue there's plenty of players that will be able to speak English with him. Serie A has signed many English players recently who don't speak Italian. Anyway back to my point he is a level above a 2nd division... whatever the country.

+x Goodwin could head as well I reckon. I’m pretty certain Goodwin will stay. He’s now a dad living in his home city and his partner is from Adelaide as well. I really can’t see him moving unless he absolutely has to.

This is going to be an unpopular opinion but I don’t think any of these players are ready to go abroad yet. Of those players, the likes of Tilio, Thurgate and Gauci need another year but I really can’t see the rest playing a level that’s much higher than the A-League.

Nothing says a top league like salary caps of half a million in a year, floors of 67k, and closed tier structures. Besides if you watch there product as I have I'd compare the standard to the A-league. Perfect example alot of the Peruvians were at the top end of the MLS, and they looked like shit in comparison to the Aleague players in the ICP. Also NZ competed with them in their game.

Yeah Millar was released. They’ve essentially replaced one Aussie RB for another.

There has zero mention of Mooy in Shanghai Port news in China media for a while. Not even a word since the WC play off. Looking more & more likely they want to offload him it seems.

A League starts too late to get so fit for world cup. Where's his family now? Championship with wage reduction would be a good solution.
