+xThis Peru team isn't anywhere near as good as they were reputed to be prior to the game. * They are weaker than most Asian teams we play at defending set pieces. * They struggle to defend crosses as well as most of our recent Asian adversaries. * In the attacking third they create few chances when they've had sustained periods of possession - we've had more chances on their goal. We've had 5 shots to their 2. * They aren't getting enough players into our box in their offence. Their positives. * They are slick in possession at times, working well in tight spaces. They were impressive in maintaining possession for a sustained period in the middle of the pitch in about 28 - 34 min mark. * Their right winger is danger with his searing pace, burning off Leckie. Our positives. * We've maintained defensive shape in BPO when they've had sustained possession. We haven’t got more positives? What about Boyle

Duke not offering much. I liked that he had some shots on goal early, but he probably needs to make way. Not the biggest JMac fan, but what other option is there?

+xClearly Japan is a much stronger than this Peru team I believe if Peru can challenge Brazil then Japan could do even better and potentially beat them on a good day

Rowles is making very fast improvement ATM. The team is gelling better.

Lots of huffing and puffing first half from us but not sure we will ever blow the chimney down.

+xHow can you air condition a stadium with an open roof? Pretty good effort that. Easy. Cooler air descends and warm rises. The flow of cooling air into the bottom pushes the hot air out over the top. Open systems work better for large volumes than recirculating systems. In this day and age it is also more safe.

This game is of a very poor standard for such a big game. Almost A league standard.

It seems there will only be one goal in this, so we better score first.

high stakes still 0-0 could go either way in no way have Peru played us off the park but we need to get ahead and hold a lead i reckon this will be a 1-nil game to either side

CBs like to have all the possession for the Socceroos. better to teach them how to beat defenders 1v1

Atkinson gave him too much room there, but the winger then didn't know what to do.
