+xOMG!!!! I thought Mabil wouldn't score then we'd be done then we did it!!!! I turned and didn't see the scenes. Just screamed WE MADE IT!!!!. Shouted 'I NEVER THOUGHT I'D SEE THESE SCENES How beautiful were our penalties? Even Boyle's saved wasn't necessarily bad. They showed some genuine fight and courage at the last and I honestly didn't expect it and it makes me so happy to be wrong

+x+xCredit to Arnold and the boys for implement two plans to a tee over two games. No one deviated! Get in!!!! would love to see a tactical breakdown of that. My favourite moment was when a bunch of subs came on for peru when they had momentum and they really consistently threatened for goal around the 63rd minute. We forced a rhthym change the moment we got the ball back by passing it around our back five for 2 minutes to suck the emotional momentum out and then dominated the rest of the half We also had leckie, out quickest really man mark their speedy right winger who terrorized us Was crazy how well we won the ball and just had Mooy settle and we went ahead and if we lost it we covered the space. Peru lacked bite.

+x+xQuestion is, would you still take redmayne to WC… Vukovic, Birighitti, maybe Langerak? Yeah for pens in round of 16. Vuk has been to one on bench and it's only 6 months away so he'd surely want to go. Langerak has retired for Roos. Yeah, even if we lose it gives the world a fun memory +xHeard Redmayne in podcast. Guy struggled a lot with impostor syndrome and anxiety/ depression so to overcome it with help and now do this. Kudos!!!! To have the confidence to clown around like that when you have imposter syndrome is incredible. Thrilled for him. Didn't even look nervous when subbed on. Just looked like "I've got this"

That’s why he retired, a 1 time tournament could make him comeback?

Excellemt taken penalties.
They were ready for this. Amazing effort.
Peru looked like they thought they already had in the bag.

In 2006 with my mates in Australia it was crazy rejoicing. Tonight sitting with Noah here in Germany we were silently relieved. I guess watching all those past bad games in this campaign left us expecting that error or bad luck that would knock Australia out. I still am surprised and geez the boys really played well except for some loose passes. Even Arnie looked surprised. He was almost ready to land on his sword. I can't imagine the weight that has lifted off Arnie's shoulders. You did good lads you really did.

+xJust wanna congratulate everyone on here through thick and thin we’re all in it together yep. Thought when we drew with China it was all over Can't wait to see Souttar back. Nearly 6 months before the world cup he should surely be there to partner Sains or Kyle Our biggest weakness is the number 6 with Irvine more a natural number 8 and Mooy more a deep lying playmaker. With Kyle Rowles showing some class, I'd be tempted to experiment with a mooy Sainsbury midfield base with a front three of hrustic, boyle and mabil and Rogic at number 10

Roos Facebook with some brilliant pics. 2005- like minus the 32 years of hurt. Just amazing. Irvine seems to be shoving Mabil and Rowles away out of shock :D

Great live commentary from the ftbl forum as usual to accompany the images on TV. See you there for Qatar. Now for the punditry on who's going to make the WC squad. Usually, from qualification, it's not many months to the actual World Cup. But this time, with Qatar being shifted to its winter in November, perhaps there'll be some good friendlies to sharpen the team.

Redmayne's tactics have the same probability of an NFL team going for it on 4th down.

Could have been placed a bit better but not that bad. Keeper guessed right. Other penalty takers fantastic under extreme pressure. And Redders justified his selection and substitution.

How cool and calm were our penalty takers!!!
So professional Mooy, Hrustic, Mabil, JMAC, Goodwin - Boyle shot on target at least! No shots wide or iver bar like 2005.
Brilliant stuff. Well done to grey wiggle too 👊👏🎯

Mabil's penalty a highlight for me. Goalkeeper fucked him about pointing at the spot then fucking of for a drink of water and then wandering back at leisure. Then Mabil slotted it and have him an absolute gobful. Hahaha so good.

+x"Crickets" from the Rowles haters There are Rowles haters? That's a thing? Was head and shoulders the best CB in the league this year (and one of the best last year). How do people not see that? At least eventually... So pleased for him he's going to a World Cup, as long as the panel beaters in the SPL don't get him.

Peru were so poor but let it sink it. Albeit penalties, we've held through with Rowles, Wright, an arguable unfit Mooy. Credit to them for lifting when it mattered. Rowles. Giant. Hearts fans will be delighted.
