Of all the players to go after, I'm really confused as to why they are going after him. It's not like he had a great season at Macarthur.

He's getting paid like $1 million a year, hard to see how he's going to be moved on given how far his stock has fallen. Surely no club would be stupid enough to offer him even half that and I doubt Victory would pay a few hundred thousand to a player who'd be playing for someone else. I highly doubt he'd take a massive paycut either. But then again, Victory would be the only club stupid enough to do it.

Like Arzani, he never recovered from his ACL injury.

There are different ways you can slice that with 6-months left.

+xikon will probably recover if given time He finished his last season strongly at Perth scoring 4 in his last 9 games there immediately after returning from his ACL. Since joining Victory, he’s struggled badly and unfortunately is undoubtedly one of the worst marquee signings of all time.

+x+x+x+xHopefully Alou can fill gap left by Cummings - and even dislodge JMac for Roos selection If anyone comes out of the Socceroos squad, it is Cummings. There is next to no chance ISL players will get Socceroos callups. Don't kid yourself. JMac has proven his might against Nepal. Any better team he has struggled. He is not a player that can make a difference and bring others into the game against teams like Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia and Iran. He has been given way to many chances on the back of being a prolific scorer in a dominant team. To use a cricket analogy he presents as a flat track bully. And still he has had a much better club career than Cummings and is now playing in a much better league. Cummings won't get a callup again, the ISL move has ended his Socceroos career. Your CCM bias is definitely clouding your judgement here. Neither should get a Socceroos call up. McLaren because he is a proven failure with the Socceroos and Cummings because of his move to India. If Cummings had stayed at CCM then he should be picked ahead of McLaren because he has not yet proven to be a failure for the Socceroos.

Clearly socceroos don't matter to him if he's going to India

Italiano probably still on holiday but not included in an already thin Gladbach first squad for the first time on 2 years. He always had a profile on the main page. I think he'll be leaving and hopefully playing a lot more. Gladbach on a massive recruitment hunt currently.

I thought he was excellent for the Olyroos in that role.

Italiano would be the perfect replacement.

+xNick Suman has signed for Cove Rangers in Scotland’s League One. Definitely the most random move of the window so far closely followed by Brandon Wilson’s move to Vietnam.

Bailey Wright going straight from the English Championship (Sunderland) to the Singapore league (Lion City Sailors) is the most random move for me. Similar to Jason Cummings, I imagine he won't be featuring for the Socceroos anymore!

I didn't realise Wright had actually signed in Singapore. Well, they are in the ACL this season, halfway to home and perhaps his children are entering the age where top class education can be made available to them. He's definitely cleared himself from national team consideration now if he wasn't already nearing the end. However, he had a lot of reliable moments when it mattered and is probably CB number 9 or 10 in an emergency.

It's almost a waste having him in another Asian league.

A month after it was announced that he was leaving Macarthur, DDS has re-joined the club.
