Was England Nigeria on 7 TV? Late consolation if all knock out games are shown.

Surely Lauren James is suspended for 3 matches for that and the rest of the tournament. The standard 1 match would be pretty weak.

It's all gone to her head with endorsement deals back in England lining up. I reckon now with that they should/ but won't be revoked. She knew what she did and tried to look innocent.

Don't think Colombia will be much trouble for England, even if England haven't been amazing thus far

Loved seeing Columbia beat Germany but gee they're hard to like after the diving and carrying on tonight they did against Jamaica. Will still barrack for them against England though. Proper kick the shit out of each other match up coming.

Hopefully France has gotten the pent up "mop the floor with your opponent" juices out of their systems against Morocco before we get them.

I'm actually not afraid of the French for the Matildas. They won't have anywhere near the time and space as they did against Morroco. Lions share of possesion and yet didn't win 1 corner but Morocco won 2. IF our form carries on I'm confident we got this and with a home crowd our girls will be hard to beat. Columbia is very aggressive, will be interesting how the Poms adjust to that, should be a rippa game.

So France it is, they are a good team in possession and have got plenty of pace too so it be a tight game.

Will just add so good to see Rusty's self imposed ban about these woke, pinko, lefty sheila's world cup continuing.

This is interesting. I've said many times they'll get better and better as they get more professional. Did not think there'd be some girls on par with EPL players though. Plenty of salty blokes in the twitter comments of this article. https://www.sportbible.com/football/women's-football/chloe-kelly-england-nigeria-womens-world-cup-760371-20230808Figures have confirmed that Chloe Kelly's penalty for England in their Women's World Cup clash against Nigeria was more powerful than any shot from last season's Premier League campaign. After both teams could not be separated, Kelly stepped up to score the winning penalty for Sarina Wiegman's side as they progressed to the quarter-final stage of this summer's competition.

+x+xJapan v Spain and Australia v England semis .......... you heard it here first :) Bumping this from a week ago ... still think it has legs :) haha or premature e hahaha Japan have flown under the radar with a mis firing Spain against them (look where they are now) who like us dropped a game against Nigeria, Jap beat Zambia/Costa Rica that yer......shows the group :) Jap GA 0. Their R16 opponent was Norway 2nd in the group stage, sure Japan have looked good but have had a good path to date. Sweden topped their group, beat USA in pens and have 1 GA. Their game will be close no doubt about it - you could be right but womens games are hard to call I find. France have played minnows but for Brazil (just won that game) and the improving Jamaicans 0-0 through the group, then R16 first timers Morocco. Their stats look good due to playing weaker opponents with all due respect but the amount of shots/corners created over games their GF could/should be double. Now they have a foe or even an equal to face - our win not long ago wasn't in form you could say and we're better since. We can deal with the pace, its the small detail to do 100%, read the play, cut off ball, clear cleanly - silly errors will punish us in danger areas.

Spain v Netherlands should be a cracker of a game on Friday.Lean slightly to the senoritas but the Dutch, like Japan, have flown under the radar to some extent.
I think we have the beating of France as our defence is now much more assured and the midfield is firing.
