+xAustralia Cup – ACT match schedule, Round 3: Wednesday March 13th, Friday March 15th/Saturday March 16th/Sunday March 17th, Tuesday March 19th/Wednesday March 20th, Friday March 22nd/Saturday March 23rd/Sunday March 24th Round 4: Tuesday April 9th/Wednesday April 10th/Thursday April 11th and Tuesday April 16th/Wednesday April 17th/Thursday April 18th Round 5: Tuesday April 30th/Wednesday May 1st/Thursday May 2nd and Tuesday May 7th/Wednesday May 8th/Thursday May 9th Round 6: Tuesday May 21st/Wednesday May 22nd/Thursday May 23rd Round 7: Saturday June 8th (long weekend) Looks like it will be 6 teams playing off in round 3 based off the list of clubs competing: Teams taking part in the 2024 competition are: Canberra Croatia FC, Canberra Olympic FC, Gungahlin United FC, Monaro Panthers FC, O’Connor Knights SC, Tigers FC, Tuggeranong United FC, Yoogali SC, ANU FC, Belconnen Untied FC, Canberra White Eagles FC, Canberra Juventus FC, Queanbeyan City FC, Wagga City Wanderers FC, West Canberra Wanderers FC, Burns FC, Majura FC, Weston Molonglo FC, Yarabi FC. I would assume those 6 are: - Yarabi FC
- Weston Molonglo FC
- Majura FC
- Burns FC
- 2 CPL (NPL2) Clubs
- Will be either Canberra Juventus AND Canberra White Eagles (7th and 8th in last year's season), OR
- Random drawing of 2 CPL (NPL2) Clubs - ANU FC, Belconnen United, Canberra White Eagles, Canberra Juventus, Queanbeyan City, Wagga City Wanderers, West Canberra Wanderers.
Interestingly, one of the CPL (NPL2) sides did not enter - Brindabella Blues. They finished 4th on last year's table.

+xHow many clubs are included this Australia Cup from each federation? Below is from the Australia Cup website. Not sure if the header is a typo though.... The Australia Cup 2023 Round of 32 slots are as follows: Member Federation | Number of allocated slots in the Round of 32 | Football Queensland | 4 | Football West | 2 | Football Victoria | 5* | Capital Football | 1 | Football Tasmania | 1 | Northern New South Wales Football | 2 | Football New South Wales | 4 | Football Northern Territory | 1 | Football South Australia | 2 |
10 spots are allocated to the A-League clubs, with the top 8 at the end of the regular season qualifying directly, and two qualifying via a playoff between the bottom four. The decision to award Football Victoria one additional berth in the Final Rounds of the Australia Cup is for 2024 only. The slot will return to Football Australia in 2025.

I should've said how many clubs during the qualification, not the actual cup itself. Would be good to see which feds are up and about and which are potentially going backwards.

ANU, Belconnen, Belnorth, Brindabella, Burns, Canberra Juventus, Canberra Croatia, Canberra Olympic, Canberra White Eagles, Gungahlin United, Monaro Panthers, O'Connor Knights, Queanbeyan City, Tuggeranong United, Tigers FC, Wagga City Wanderers, West Canberra Wanderers, Weston-Molonglo, Yoogali SC. Two of them with a bye into Round 4, and then playing each other, meaning a guaranteed slot in the quarter finals (Round 5) for a State League side! Talk about writing a Cinderella story... Predictions of clubs reaching Round 5: - Queanbeyan City
- O'Connor Knights
- Monaro Panthers (defeating West Canberra)
- Yoogali SC (defeating Brindabella)
- Gungahlin United (defeating Belconnen)
- ANU (I'm going to go for the upset there)
- Canberra Croatia (that's a tough one)
- But the toughest match to decide is between the two 5th tier entrants (or it could be 4th tier v 5th tier, not sure how promotion works that far down our pyramid), but I'm going to lean towards Majura, who finished well ahead of Burns on top of the league last year.

Is there a reward for finishing Premiers or finals winner? Bit of a weird one this year with byes hey? I know Canberra would normally give their byes based off the tier, but this year, the only clubs guaranteed byes were the NPL1 sides.Other than that was completely random. In fact, only 4 byes were offered (with 5 non NPL1-2 clubs in the draw, and 2 of those 5 clubs got byes into the next round, and will actually play against each other in that round Normally, the 5 non-league clubs would be put into the first round, with the other slots filled randomly from NPL2.
