Can't wait for a proper size season. Its not just about those extra five games (2 more home and away fixtures and a unite round) it is about a shorter off season meaning less time for players skills to decline

He's only really effective when the opponent has a weak defence or he gets lucky with an opposition error. Any opponent with a good defensive setup can effectively remove him from the game. Just look at his stats from the derby. In 90 mins he touched the ball 13 times and had 1 shot on goal. Similar story against CCM. 17 touches and 2 shots on goal. Although he can be extremely dangerous when given goal scoring opportunities, it's also very simple to limit those opportunities.

It seems like a backward step. Even though Duke and Deng have recently played J2.

This could just be Maclaren’s agent creating a fake story to assist with contract negotiations at City, as his current contract finishes this season.
