+x+x+x+xFarrell to Portsmouth reportedly a done deal. Should be announced in the coming days.
Pretty much as perfect a move as we could hope for imo.
Very cool that he gets to link back up with Silvera on the left flank as well. Could be a productive partnership on the left for the Socceroos moving forward too. Well looks like I'm supporting Portsmouth this season!! Yengi, Silvera, Farrell and possibly Robertson also. Great move by Farrell actually.. this is the minimum level that we should be seeing our best A league players go to. Breaks my heart seeing our best players goto bottom half Scottish teams or league 1. European scouts seem to be taking our league a little more seriously the past yr or so. yeah if they get 4 it will be the first time I can remember really caring about a euro club in a good league. I did care about parma, st pauli and ipswich though but 4 is another level. It is almost an a league club in the championship haha True! And would be 2nd time it's happened at Portsmouth too after Venables brought a third of the socceroos team with him in the late 90s I'm thinking of Crystal Palace actually ! Although Aloisi and Foster were at Portsmouth together the season before in 97/98

+xThese are the interesting/notable transfers so far: Forwards: > Sam Silvera loan to Portsmouth (Championship) > John Iredale to Augsborg (Danish Superliga) > Nestory Irankunda to Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) > Al Hassan Toure to Ajaccio (Ligue 2) > Mohamed Toure to Randers (Danish Superliga) Midfielders: > Max Balard to NAC Breda (Eredivisie) > Josh Nisbet to ?? > Keanu Baccus to Mansfield (League One) Defenders: > Ryan Strain to Dundee United (SPL) GKs: > Paul Izzo to Randers (Danish Superliga) > Mat Ryan to Roma (rumour) (Serie A) Have I missed any? I'd love to know whether there will be any moves from Robertson, Hrustic, O'Neill, T. Francois and Farrell. Anyone else? EDIT: And Souttar of course! A few players I don't think I have seen mentioned: Rafael Rech - Chapecoense, Brazil (2) Tomislav Glavan - NK Opatija, Croatia (2) Georgias Okkas - Rio Ave, Portugal (1) Harry Arnsion - Aberysywyth, Wales (1) Lachlan Byrd - Aldershot, England (5) Lewis Miccio - St.Albans City, England (6) Matteo Mazzone - Eintract Frankfurt, Germany (4) Hassan Jalloh - Dalvik/Reynir, Iceland (2) Anthony Carter - Alverca, Portugal (2) Paul Okon Jr - Benfica B, Portugal (3) Connor Pain - Al Bukiryah FC, Saudi Arabia (2) Ryan McGowan - Livingston, Scotland (2) Murray Miller - Kelty Hearts, Scotland (3) Tim Caroutas - RCD Espanyol B, Spain (4) Josh Grommen - Uthai Thani, Thailand (1)

They have been relegated from La Liga 2 (2nd Tier) to the 3rd Tier (Primera RFEF).

+x+x+x+x+x+x+xCCM have signed Diesel Herrington from Aarhus. Lachy Rose has left Macarthur, destination unknown. Rose heading to Bangladesh apparently Why would you go to Bangladesh? That's a interesting one One of the clubs over there is pretty rich and has even beaten ISL clubs to signings. I mean no disrespect but surely we don't want to be losing players to the clubs. Like if I was a kid who bought a rose shirt why and he goes off why would I follow the club? Macarthur reduce their wage bill and lose a player they don’t really need to replace and Rose gets a payday.
Plus no real football fan stops supporting their club because a backup squad player leaves. But it's probably a reason a league club struggle to keep fans when fan favourites move what's the point of building a connection with them Well at the Bulls that's means 6 people, tops.

Really smart of clubs to shop in the A League. Fees need a bump but it's such value for money with the players they've been getting. Can't think of many bad words said about our players who go over, spend time at a club, then move on or back.

+xAny whispers on Harry, kuol, Robertson or anyone else? Robertson has a few suitors by the sounds and it also seems like Man City is trying to get him to sign an extension. Portsmouth and Cardiff are both interested. Kuol is apparently training with the Newcastle first team. I imagine they will work out a loan move after a while. Souttar I've heard nothing.

I think Souttar is working on a place at Leicester and it may be on an opponent style basis. They could play back 3 or 4. If he doesn't feature enough in the first few weeks then he should seek a loan.

Makes sense about the Nisbet to Portsmouth links as they've been watching the Mariners. Nisbet on a free is sick. He's probably weighing up options to make the best call but surely many clubs have reached out.

Yeah 3rd division makes sense for a first season in europe. Our strikers historically have had more trounle than our mids and wingers
