+x+xPortsmouth have signed Owen Moxon from Carlisle who'll fill the Robertson void. I don't think Robertson will return to Portsmouth. Besides, he should be up for a Championship loan next season. I believe Man City will recall him in the meantime to rehab and in the off-season he'll move again what grade is the tear? Asian cup u23 isn't until April 15 so he might be ok by then

Talks of Solanke to Spurs. I really hate that. A player finally proves himself at a lower club then invariably blows it by trying to go up again. Be the big fish in the small pond for a while. The live blog is kind of annoying. Not enough EFL news which is always hectic. https://www.skysports.com/football/live-blog/31771/12476234/deadline-day-live-hamilton-broja-solanke-latesthttps://www.skysports.com/football/transfer-deals

Better than nothing but some momentum has been gained in discussions between Hrustic and Kaiserslautern. The issue is the wage distribution. Kaiserslautern just made the German cup semi final and with a bit of luck they'll make the final against Leverkusen who'll be automatically in Europe so Kaiserslautern would be guaranteed European football.

+xTriantis to Hibs. Monty is a godsend for us. Saving so many Australian players. Oh that's great news. A good loan. An exciting AA deadline day.

+x+x+x+x+xChatter WSW are in talks with Sonny Kittel. Just wow. What a player. Is that over in Europe? Arevthey reliable sources? Just a lot of chatter that it's a done deal. So is Kittel on the same level Schwegler was, different positions aside? Kittel was killing it with Hamburg but had a respite from stardom and went to Poland which surprised everyone. He was being touted by other clubs due to his top form. Still a very very good player. Sonny Kittel confirmed on loan till the end of the season

Deadline day in UK so here's hoping Souttar gets the move sorted. Loan to buy would be fine as he'd probably just go back to Leicester and get sold on anyway.

+x+x+x+x+xReports Joe Gauci on the brink to sign for Aston Villa. Hope that's untrue. Loans are a poor pathway for Aussies in Europe. The clubs they get loaned to have no financial stake in their development. Typically they return to the A-L after a few seasons. We've seen this movie numerous times, particularly in Germany. we have alot of history there though, Bosnich is still highly regarded and guys like Herd, Lowry, Holman etc. I think its a good move. Don't think Herd, Lowry and Holman would be highly regarded at Villa- they played there during one of Villa's worst ever seasons. Maybe not Holman, but I remember Herd scored a goal against Liverpool to get a point at Anfield to help them stay up. I just dont get why everyone wants to always bag our old players... why are you even on here for? I usually don't bag our old players, but Herd and Lowry were certainly not amongst our top players back then. I can remember Southampton beating Villa 6-0 and they looked lost. Mane scored four. Ask a Villa fan what they think of them.

+xSurprised everyone has missed behich going to Ronaldo's club I saw something about Saudi Pro League didnt realise it was Al Nassr... not a bad way to end your career. Playing with and against some the greats of the modern game. Alot of Celtic posters on facebook absolutely bagging Tilio that he barely trains. Jesus christ. These kids going to look back with alot of regrets in their lives.

+xTilio is back at Melbourne city for the rest of the season I like the move but I just wish it was at a different club. I don't want him to be comfortable because it won't prep him as well for his return to Europe. Would've loved a rogue A-League club to get involved and poach him for the rest of the season rather than City.

+xReports Sheffield United are chasing Souttar too. Everton Sheffield United are fine because I can imagine they'll persist with Souttar regardless of league. I don't think they'll sack either manager if they go down. I also expect a few of the better Sheffield United players to be bought up. Ahmedhodžić will probably end up in Italy or Spain. Either would be amazing if he gets game time.

+xSo glad for Gauci. Heaps of years ahead as a keeper but my hunch was right. Ryan went abroad at 21 and was way to raw for a world cup at 22. Langerak is my age and came over at 22. He faded very well when thrown into that Bayern game. By absolute no means should Gauci allow himself to be played by Villa and that snake they've got in goal now. A first full season at Villa is OK if he gets used for other competitions and an occasional league game. However, don't fall into the Langerak pitfall of being one of the best number twos in the league and never playing in season two. Immediate loan to the continent or Championship is vital. Our keepers need to stand up for themselves and remain sharp. Bilokapic did the right thing. Martinez is class mate no snake lol

Aston Villa have completed deal to sign Joe Gauci from Adelaide United on €1.5m fee plus add-ons.
Contract until June 2028, medical already done. 🇦🇺
↪️ Gauci and Lino Sousa are the final signings for Villa. Morgan Rogers set to sign the contract today.
