Hopefully this gets his career back on track & gets him back into the mix for the Socceroos

+x+xKenny Dougall has signed for Buriram United, who are managed by Kenneth Dougall. Hate signings like this id rather him as a marquee player in the a league than another Asian league his misses is Thai or half Thai I think... so probably just looking enjoy the rest of his career rather than get ridiculed in the a-league.

Walter Scott has returned to Macarthur on a scholarship. Remarkably this is his 4th chance at AL level after mustering just 5 appearances in total at Perth, Wellington and during his first stint at Macarthur.

Behich's head has now obviously been elsewhere. Why would you care when you've just gotten a massive final pay day?
At least City can try another young left back.

+xReports Joe Gauci on the brink to sign for Aston Villa. Hope that's untrue. Loans are a poor pathway for Aussies in Europe. The clubs they get loaned to have no financial stake in their development. Typically they return to the A-L after a few seasons. We've seen this movie numerous times, particularly in Germany.

+xAlex Popovic off to Gangwon. Last one left, turn off the lights. The club are so incompetent that they announced that he joined the wrong club and had to fix the media release. Popovic has actually been sold to Gwangju.

I'd like to think Gauci is an exception and a loan will see the club being helped by his skills. Not too many players got loans in Germany but were more hoarded by their U23 squads. Funny contradiction (not made by you yourself) that they do have a financial interest yet let the players continue being a depreciating asset.
