Can't see it being any of those - Sage was trying to massage Smeltz' ego into signing the other day in an article, Thwaite is also seen as core to the club, and Gallas is the big-name signing Sage stumped cash up for. I took the rumour as Burns or McGarry, like most. How about Vuko after last week's dummy spit???? That would go down like a lead balloon, as would Burns (unless Lowe wants to be sacked next week  ). McGarry looks like the one to go.

Probably McGarry. No point in keeping someone who can score a goal in the team.

FFA continued to pay Edwards wages during his loan spell to Glory, Glory paid nothing.

No interest in being placated like some seem to crave, and hearing things we've all heard before from these people. Need real change in my eyes, not more band-aids on a broken leg. What realistic changes would you like to see before kick-off next season? And then within 3-5 years time. I don't want to see any changes, realistic or not, before I see Sage and/or over 50% of the board gone. The club's got such a limited gene pool in administration that it's not funny, and it contributes to the short-term mentality that we've had for some time. This x 10000000. What's to stop this fan forum being just like the others. They got limited numbers on the last one when it was open, now they're limiting it to just members, and are screening questions...whilst hosting it as Dave says, in one of the boy's club. That's no indication of change. Brewer can talk on twitter all he likes about change being a process but when weeks beforehand it's revealed their trying to get Mark Harvey ffs on board, of course we're not going to believe them.

Personally I'm actually more interested in the NPL and how it goes than the A-League at present; perhaps it's just a novelty factor. Sadly there's a lot of people who are attacking it before its even begun, but that's just football politics I guess. Glory will play their home games at Intiga Stadium, home of Inglewood United. This continues their current relationship (NYL games are hosted there) born out of board member Declan Kelly being involved with Inglewood and another board member John Boardman being involved with Intiga. It's obviously been a deliberate strategy by the club to build those bridges there to have a home ground for NPL games.

The Worst article on Glory has Burns being the one that may be on the bench. If that were the case, it would be 'for the good of the team balance' from Burns this time.
And how correct are the Worst usually. Take for instance today's 'possible lineups' with kick-off at 2.30pm at nib stadium.

I'll start by apologising for not agreeing with every word you have written and extend a huge cyber hug your way but I am curious at why you are more interested in the NPL? I cannot see what novelty factor there is unless watching Subicao playing at an athletics stadium floats your boat. To me it looks like and feels like the same State Premier League with a new name. Looking forward to your response.

Iridium1010 wrote:What's the average crowd in the NPLWA(previous state leagues), whose the biggest club(outside Glory:cool: )? And why do rockingham wear green and yellow? Varies from a few hundred to maybe a thousand, depending on the game you go to and the teams involved. Derbies tend to get bigger crowds. Biggest club is (arguably) Perth SC, just on the standard of their facilities and social club. It can vary wildly though as some clubs come into cash through an owner or sponsor and bought decent players (pre points system and salary cap etc) but might still play in a suburban park with no fencing. No idea about Rocky... try their website or email them? Begbie - it is really just a rebranded State Premier, in its infancy anyway, but there's potential for it to grow. Plus it's got the finals system near the end which might see some interesting state v state battles. I don't expect fireworks from the NPL but I expect it to have more potential going forward than a standalone WA league did.

And yes, it's Burns benched with McGarry, Griffiths, Marinkovic in midfield it seems. Sernas, Smeltz, Sidnei up front.

Looking forward to your response. from a fella who has followed the local league for decades nothing at all has changed other than the dubious inclusion of Subi into the top tier. At the end of the season the winner will head interstate for a play off etc and everyone else wont give a fuck. Sorry everyone except our special Dave. Almost as amusing as a 2nd tier A League. Christ there's teams in the current league that are struggling with the cost of seeing out a season. Could you imagine a State League club trying to find the millions to play in an league that asks them to travel interstate every second week and everything else that comes with it. Gotta love that knee jerk reaction to the criticism we received from the Asian hierarchy.
